Abingdon Platinum Jubilee guided walks

About Abingdon Platinum Jubilee guided walks

The Friends of Abingdon have organised a series of Platinum Jubilee guided walks along with local societies and individuals. These will take place on Friday, 03 June as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Abingdon.

Participants will have the opportunity to join informative guides from local groups such as the Abingdon Area Archaeology and History Society, the Naturalist’s Society, the Friends of Abingdon and One Planet Abingdon, looking at different aspects of the town.

There will also be self-guided walks available, including a new ‘Royal Associations’ walk which will allow you to explore the fascinating history of Abingdon and its royal connections at your leisure.

Walks will start from the Friends of Abingdon Civic Society stall at Rye Farm Meadow – guided walks will begin at 10.30am and 2.30pm (book in from 10.00am on the day), and self-guided walks at any time.
