About the Abingdon Summer Balloon & Firework Festival 2022
Abingdon Summer Balloon & Firework Festival – the UK’s biggest firework event – returns bigger and better than ever in the summer of 2022.
Head up to Abingdon Airfield with your family and friends for a breathtaking evening of hot air balloons, skydiving and world-class firework entertainment.
Witness displays choreographed to music by three guest display companies:
Guest Team 1 – Blaze Fireworks Ltd
Guest Team 2 – Phoenix Fireworks Ltd
Guest Team 3 – TBC
And of course, there will be an enormous, breathtaking 1/4 mile wide closing show by the hosts and double British Firework Champions Illusion Fireworks filling the sky with magic.

Car parks and fairground open from 4.00pm. Bring a picnic to enjoy with your family and friends. Or enjoy food and drinks from the stalls and bars before the entertainment starts at 6.30pm.

General admission
Advance Saver ADULT (16 years +): £18.00 + £0.97 booking fee
Advance Saver CHILD (3 years +): £9.00 + £0.49 booking fee
Infant (0-2 years): £1.00 + £0.05 booking fee
Parking is free and included with your tickets.
Extras
Gazebo permit: £25.00 + £1.35 booking fee
Camping permit: £20.00 + £1.08 booking fee
Camping on the airfield Saturday night, permit is for one marked out 6m x 6m pitch (tent / caravan / camping van) + 2m x 4m parking space. Permits must be purchased in advance. Campsite must be vacated by 12 noon on Sunday. Toilets and drinking water are available but NO power hook up or effluent waste disposal is provided.
VIP Tickets
VIP Adult (16 Years+): £48.00 + £2.59 booking fee
VIP Child (3 Years+): £24.00 + £1.30 booking fee
VIP Infant (0-2 Years): £1.00 + £0.05 booking fee
Bring your picnic blanket or chairs and table and enjoy the festival from the new VIP area in style and comfort. Your VIP ticket includes: *Complimentary Pimms / soft drink on arrival *Separate front row viewing area with capped capacity *VIP parking close to VIP area *Luxury toilets in VIP area *BBQ and Bar in VIP area (pay as you go) *Dedicated member of the events team. You do not need to purchase this ticket in conjunction with a standard entry ticket. This ticket is for entry to the event and access to the dedicated VIP area.
