Experience Christmas at The Oxfordshire Museum in Woodstock, with a season of creativity and community for everyone to enjoy!
There are lots of activities and events happening throughout the festive period, from family fun with the Twelve Days of Christmas i-spy trail and seasonal storytelling sessions to the Oxfordshire Craft Guild’s Winter Exhibition – the perfect opportunity to purchase an artisan gift.
Get into the Christmas spirit with their first festive late-night event on 08 December, featuring a performance from the Bicester Rock Choir in the illuminated garden, free crafting activities and a special 10 per cent discount in the museum gift shop for one night only.
Indulge in homemade festive treats in the café and find stocking fillers and gifts, including craft kits and locally sourced food and drink, in the museum shop.
The museum is situated in an 18th-century house in the heart of Woodstock.
There is a surprise around every corner of The Oxfordshire Museum. Explore the modern purpose-built Garden Gallery that hosts our changing exhibitions. Relax with a drink and slice of cake from the café in the airy, glazed extension, or sit outdoors and enjoy views across the large garden. Take your time browsing gifts in the shop and reception spaces.
The interactive dinosaur gallery, and garden, with its dinosaur footprints and life-size Megalosaurus hidden amongst Jurassic plants, is particularly popular with visiting families. The history and archaeology galleries tell the stories of the people who have lived in the county in the past.
All activities and entry are free.
