The Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway will be running locomotives for rides from Sunday 03 April to Sunday 18 December 2022.
The railway was built and developed by the voluntary efforts of the members of City of Oxford Society of Model Engineers (COSME).
COSME is a non-profit making organisation based in Oxfordshire in the UK. Members meet regularly throughout the year and have a wide range of interests and experience in many aspects of model engineering. A major activity is operating the Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway (CPMR) within a public park in Oxford.
The Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway is situated in Cutteslowe Park in the north of Oxford, just off the A40 Ring Road. For Sat Nav, use Harbord Road, Oxford OX2 8LH.
There are two tracks on the railway on which is run passenger carrying trains pulled by steam or diesel locomotives. The elevated track is built to cater for 3½” and 5″ gauges. The ground level track is for 5″ and 7¼” gauges.
The railway opens at 1.00pm
The queue for tickets will close at 4.30pm (4.00 in December)
Trains will run at frequent intervals throughout the afternoon (subject to government regulations and suitable weather conditions).

Tickets are £1.25 for adults and children over 2 years. Free for children under 2 years when accompanied by a fare-paying adult. Tickets can be purchased from the ticket office at the track and preference is for payment by debit/credit card.

By Bus
There are regular bus services on Banbury Road, run by the Oxford Bus Company (routes 2, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D) and Stagecoach (2, 7, 17, 17A and 17C). They all stop at the top of Harbord Road, which is a 10 minute walk to the park.
By Car
There are two car parks. One is at the north end of the park at the Harbord Road entrance. The other is at the south end of the Park, off the eastbound A40 entrance (heading towards Headington). The postcodes for the park are OX2 8NP (Northern end) and OX2 7XD (Southern end). Parking charges apply at both car parks. Please note that parking restrictions apply to surrounding residential roads.
Park & Ride
The nearest Park & Ride is Water Eaton. Buses from there stop at the top of Harbord Road, which is a 10 minute walk to the park.
By Train
The nearest train station is Oxford Parkway located next to the Water Eaton Park and Ride. Trains run to the main Oxford (City Centre) station and to London Marylebone and are operated by Chiltern Railways.
