Come and join Giffords Circus as they return once again to Stonor Park.
Join their dance to timeless Celtic rhythms and drums and get down with the fairy folk as Giffords Circus and going to kick up a Hooley.
“Faeries, come take me out of this dull world, For I would ride with you upon the wind, Run on the top of the dishevelled tide, And dance upon the mountains like a flame.” WB Yeats
Giffords Circus is excited to welcome back one of the UK’s leading comedy directors, Cal McCrystal, to direct The Hooley. “There will be fairies, trolls, pixies, leprechauns, wild horses, Celtic music and dancing and all the madcap magic that Giffords is synonymous for,” said Cal McCrystal.
Also returning is Tweedy the clown, a physical comedy genius guaranteed to have audiences in stitches and Giffords favourites Nancy Trotter Landry and Lil Rice.
Horses, fairies, music and dancing will fill the big top for one of the UK’s much-loved shows.
Giffords Circus Cookbook, Recipes & Stories from a Magical Circus Restaurant by Nell Gifford & Ols Halas (Quadrille, £27) is out.
This extraordinary book is a celebration of the food that brings the circus and its audience together, alongside the story of the circus and its vibrant community. Nell shares stories from the circus tour whilst Ols cooks up a storm with accompanying recipes and feasts.
The last day of performances at this venue is on a circus move day, and the front of house options are limited. However, there are still drinks and merchandise available before the show and during the interval.
