Headington Market is a weekly Saturday Market featuring local produce and products from further afield. The market is organised by Headington Action, a charity representing residents’ associations and other bodies with links to Headington.
The market takes place on both sides of London Road, in the main Headington shopping area. Stalls range from outside the Royal Standard to Kennett Road on the south side and between Osler Road and Old High Street on the north side.
Produce, much sourced locally, including plants and flowers, fresh vegetables and fruit, meats and savoury pies, eggs, British cheeses, bread, cakes and pastries, brownies, honey and preserves, fresh fish, curries and Indian snacks, delicacies from southern Italy and Mediterranean, hot street food, and handicrafts. There is a good range of regular stalls, with others being occasional.
The people of Headington get the opportunity to buy fresh, local produce; the stall fees are used by Headington Action to fund local community causes and to fulfil their mission of improving life for those who live, work and study in Headington. In short, almost everyone benefits!
Every Saturday from 9.00am to 2.00pm.
