The award-winning Reading Operatic Society is privileged to present an amateur production by arrangement with The Really Useful Group Ltd – a spectacular Easter presentation of the sensational Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Based on the old testament character from the book of Genesis, it follows the pride, fall and ultimate redemption of Joseph, one of Jacob’s 12 sons and his coat of many colours.
Joseph is a much-loved family classic featuring an iconic pop and musical theatre score with songs including Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door To Me and Go, Go Joseph.
The show has been performed in numerous productions in 86 countries, and famous leads have included Jason Donovan, Donny Osmond, Phillip Schofield, Sheridan Smith, and Ian H Watkins, among many more.
With the creative team of Director Lloyd White, Musical Director Mark Webb and Choreographer Nicky Jaggar-Ryan and featuring a hugely talented adult and child cast, this promises to be a splashy, spectacle-driven, fun extravaganza suitable for all ages – the perfect uplifting show for an Easter holiday afternoon or night out.
