About Light up the town with a message of hope
Create a lantern using a free lantern making kit and display it in your window during the first weekend in December (Friday 04 to Sunday 06 December).
Following the difficult news of a further lockdown and the cancellation of the annual lantern parade in Carterton, St John Church will be giving out free lantern making kits.
They are encouraging families to get involved in an event to “Light up the town with a message of hope”.
They have a limited number of simple lantern kits to give out (one per family). The event involves making your lantern, displaying it in your window in the first weekend in December and saying a prayer for our community at this challenging time.
