Follow The Stars – Macmillan Carols Event 2021
10 December 2021 @ 7.15pm£30 – £125
Follow The Stars - Macmillan Carols 2021
Join Macmillan Cancer Support to start your Christmas season with their 25th Anniversary feast of carols, seasonal choral music and literary readings at Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford.
Hear for the first time a new carol commissioned for this special event by the internationally renowned composer John Rutter. Help raise money for Macmillan’s vital services.
Joining the Follow the Stars - Macmillan Carols Event will be Mary Berry and Toby Jones - along with British actresses Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Dr Who, Loki and Belle) and Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education and Uncle Vanya) - reading Christmas pieces in the flickering candlelight.
Be captivated by the sublime sounds of the Oxford Bach Soloists singing some of the nation’s most popular Christmas music and resonate with the spine-tingling notes of “Once In Royal David’s City” sung by one of Christ Church Cathedral’s choristers.
To ensure guests are comfortably spaced, tickets have been limited and are being sold in bubbles. If you would rather watch a streamed version of the concert or indeed listen to the Podcast, go to Macmillan’s JustGiving page for more information. Both will be free to enjoy in the hope of a donation.
This celebration of Christmas has become Macmillan’s largest single fundraising event in Oxfordshire, and as a result of your generosity over the past 25 years, £500,000 has been raised for Macmillan locally. Thank you.
We all know the devastating effect the COVID pandemic has had on fundraising, and Macmillan needs your help now more than ever. Help make this the best year’s fundraising ever; buy a ticket, go to Macmillan’s JustGiving page and make a donation or become a sponsor by advertising in their programme.
A full-colour programme is included in your ticket price.
Gold seats include the VIP Champagne reception after the event.
