Roll on up for one of Science Oxford’s all time most popular and addictive challenges! At this workshop, our budding engineers will harness the forces of friction and gravity to design their own marble maze. Using a range of materials, they’ll work out how to make a marble roll as slowly as possible down a slope, without getting stuck along the way. It’s a fantastic activity for developing problem solving skills in a really fun and creative way, that adults can get stuck into as well.
Booking is through the Roald Dahl Museum. £3 per participant. Adults are welcome to pay to make their own. Price does not include Museum entry which you will also need to book to take part in the workshop. Under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult (no more than two non-participating adults will be allowed in the room per group).
This activity is not suitable for children under the age of 5 due to small parts.
Marble Mazes at the Roald Dahl Museum is part of a partnership by Science Oxford to bring science-themed activities to wider audiences across the region.
