Oxford Canal Festival 2021

16 September to 18 September

About the Oxford Canal Festival 2021

The Oxford Canal Heritage project invites you to join them for a wonderful celebration of the Oxford Canal - its attractions and its colourful history - on 16, 17 and 18 September 2021.

There will be a fabulous FREE programme of activities for all the family, and all proceeds from the 2021 Oxford Canal Festival will go towards the purchase and restoration of a community narrowboat for everyone to enjoy.

Funded by the Heritage Lottery, and managed by the Jericho Living Heritage Trust, the Oxford Canal Heritage project is working with local communities to raise the profile of the Oxford Canal from Duke’s Cut just north of the city to Hythe Bridge Street in the city centre.

Today, Oxford’s canal offers a green and pleasant towpath walk on a route also used by cyclists, runners and anglers besides being home to a small boating community and a favourite destination for leisure craft.
