The Oxford Festival of the Arts 2019 is a two-week whirlwind of culture and creativity in venues throughout Oxford. With music, drama, speakers, debates, film, dance, art, circus and comedy, as well as many events to take part in, there really is something for everyone!
The dates for your diary this summer are Friday 21 June to Sunday 7 July 2019. This year’s Festival Theme is “CONNECTIONS”; a thrilling journey, discovering connections across the arts, with the past and between cultures.
Now in its eleventh year, the Oxford Festival of the Arts features renowned musicians, performers, artists, authors and experts, a classical music world premiere, some of the UK’s best stand up comedians and much more to enjoy.
The two weeks of the Festival are the pinnacle of Festival activities, the education and community engagement activities run throughout the year involving children from many local primary schools, and much of their work will be showcased during the Festival.
The festival was an initiative of Magdalen College School in 2008, and the school remains its lead sponsor.
