About Oxfordshire Artweeks Festival 2019

The Oxfordshire Artweeks festival 2019 takes place from 4th to 27th May 2019.

Oxfordshire Artweeks is the UK’s biggest free artist open studios and pop-up exhibition event with amazing art in hundreds of wonderful places across the county. You can feast your eyes on a huge range of creative activity, from painting, photography, textiles, sculpture and ceramics, to furniture, glass, mosaics, jewellery and much more. You’ll be able to meet artists in a wide range of interesting places, talk about their work, watch demonstrations and have a go yourself. Visiting our galleries will give you a sample of the vibrant art and design on show. Be inspired, entertained and delighted – and even choose a treasure to take home with you.

In 2019, during the first week of the May festival (4th-12th May) 200 art spaces across the city of Oxford welcome you in. The second week (11th-19th May) takes place in South Oxfordshire with venues along the Thames from Faringdon to Henley and the Ridgeway from Wantage to Thame, and during the third (18th-27th May) you can visit beautiful North and West Oxfordshire where venues can be found nestled from Burford and Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds across to the historic market towns of Bicester and Banbury. To keep up to date with Artweeks news you can sign up for our newsletter which has a monthly summary of some of the art on offer across the county.

Oxfordshire Artweeks is a not-for-profit artists' organisation that promotes the work of Oxfordshire artists whilst giving you the chance to choose unique art for your own home and garden or as gifts. Established in 1981, Oxfordshire Artweeks is both the country’s oldest and biggest open studios and art trails event.
