About Pre-Raphaelite Portraiture Online Workshop

With Kieran Stiles, Artist

Explore the methods behind the delicate and exquisite drawings of Rossetti. Drawing is a way of visual thinking that is essential for everyone. This online workshop explores the translation of visual perception into form through the experience of drawing, providing insights into the complexities ofthe three-dimensional world we inhabit. Learn how to create a delicate granular appearance to describe the surface of the form in a portrait, and discover the links between Rosetti and the French impressionist Geoges Seurat. You will need: cartridge paper and soft pencil.

This workshop links to the major exhibition, The Pre-Raphaelites: Drawings and Watercolours at The Ashmolean.

The workshop will take place online via Zoom, and a link to join the event will be shared in advance by email.

Booking is essential and tickets are £60 full price / £55 concessions each.

This event is now fully booked.
