On the 06 February of this year, Her Majesty The Queen became the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service, having acceded to the throne on 06 February 1952 when Her Majesty was 25 years old.
Events and initiatives have been taking place throughout the past year to celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, culminating in a four day UK Bank Holiday from Thursday 02 to Sunday 05 June.
The four days will provide an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate this historic milestone.
The four days of celebrations will include public events, community activities and beacon lighting, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service.
