Race for Life Oxford 5k & 10k

About the Race for Life Oxford 5k & 10K 2021

Join thousands of people uniting with one purpose - to raise valuable funds for life-saving research.

5K Run

This is a 5k run for everyone. The Oxford route begins in the scenic University Parks, where you will head out onto the historic streets of Oxford. The entire route is flat and mainly on pathways or road. Heading down Longwall Street, High Street, then proceeding under the Bridge of Sighs and along Parks Road, you will then re-enter the Park at Norham Gardens and finish your event to cheers outside the cricket clubhouse.

The 5k race will start from 10.45am prompt.

10K Run

The 10k run is a great step up from our 5k events, that's still achievable for everyone. The Oxford 10k route starts by taking the usual 5k route around the Park and City Centre's road and historic landmarks and then splits off for an extra 5k. The extra 5k distance takes in the scenery of the countryside, college sports grounds, and riverside, and then returns back into University Parks for the finish by the cricket pavilion.

The 10k race will start from 9.30am prompt.

Adults: £14.99
Young Adults: £14.99
Children: £10.00
Under 6 entry (Girls and boys): free and no registration needed

Good to know

The Race for Life Oxford 5k & 10K 2021 will start and finish point is in the University Park sports field next to the cricket pavilion.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the organisers will be operating a staggered start time in 2021 to ensure your safety on event day. Additional start times may become available as/when needed.

Inviting your friends and family to support you on the day is a great idea, they can share in the joy with you as you cross the finish line and ring the bell. They can also help you with those important things, like holding your belongings whilst you walk, jog or run around the course.

Please note, whilst the organises hope that the event will be open to families and friends on the day, this may not be possible due to government guidelines around COVID-19. They will provide an update nearer the time.

Getting there

As the event is in the city centre location, therefore there is no onsite parking, except for blue badge holders. We suggest using the city’s Park & Ride network. Expect road closures for the event to be in place from 8.00am, so please ensure that you leave plenty of time for your journey.
