Ruts DC is must-see show, as the trailblazing trio return with the ‘Faces In The Sky’ tour, bristling with power, passion and new music.
The British reggae punk band was formed in 1980 by members of The Ruts after the death of Malcolm Owen. The band continued under a different musical style as Ruts DC until 1983, when they disbanded. The band later reformed in 2007.
Some band’s sound punk. Some look punk. Some even look and sound punk. And some, simply, are punk. The Ruts were early challengers to the misunderstood notion that punk was a somewhat luddite dogma wherein complexity, creative exploration and musical prowess were considered a shameful affectation.
