Treat yourself to a Saturday evening of award-winning comedy at The Glee Club in Oxford with four superb stand-up comedians that will keep you laughing until Monday.
This weekend:
Rudi Lickwood
Rudi exploded onto the comedy circuit with a barrel full of laughs and some of the sharpest and wickedest one-liners in the business. A member of BBC’s Real McCoy team, Rudi shoots from the hip and the lip to leave every audience braying with laughter. Rudi has been awarded the Jongleurs Award for Best Performer 2000/2001, so we’re not talking merely ‘funny’, more ‘call the surgeon for those splitting sides’.
Hasan Al-Habib
Hasan is a stand-up comedian who took his show FootDarks, a stand-up triple bill from three ethnic members of the Cambridge Footlights, to critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe last year. Born to Iraqis that decided Baghdad wasn’t dangerous enough and so moved to Birmingham, he started stand-up at Uni and is already regarded as one of the circuit’s most exciting new comedians.
Abigoliah Schamaun
Abigoliah grew up in the small rural town of Greenville, Ohio. At the tender age of 18 moved to New York City to seek fame and fortune. After many years she grew tired of living with giant rats, cockroaches and high rent, so she moved to London, where she lives today and works as a stand-up comedian and actor. Abigoliah has been named one of the “Top 5 Up and Coming Female Comedians” by The List.
