The Game Fair 2019 promises to be Europe’s best-loved and largest countryside festival, with entertainment, ideas, expert advice, country pursuits, shooting, loads of dogs and tons of shopping. The Game Fair is the annual gathering for people passionate about countryside pursuits, and the Great British Countryside in all its glory.
The fair will feature rural business, gunmakers, amazing food & drink, hospitality, theatres, have-a-go & try before you buy, falconry, fishing, gamekeeping, arena shows & demos, horse and hounds, show gardens, land, estates and conservation, as well as weekend camping and glamping.
As the world’s largest countryside show, The Game Fair also boasts the most comprehensive outdoor shooting exhibition held anywhere in the UK, with a jam-packed itinerary for all lovers of shooting including clay, rifle and airgun shooting as we all as have-a-go events, demonstrations and competitions.
Following the success of the 2018 event, The Game Fair 2019 will be working with CJ’s Birds of Prey once again to bring together the largest collection of birds of prey anywhere in the UK.
Teams will travel from across Europe to compete against England on the Friday of The Game Fair. The competition will take place over a variety of tricky retrieves, with each team consisting of three handlers and three dogs. On Saturday and Sunday of The Game Fair, make sure you catch the Home International Team competition where you can see the top gundogs from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales go head-to-head in a purpose-built arena complete with authentic cover crops, jumps and water.
From side-saddle to equine gymnastics and Pony Club displays. The Horses and Hounds mini ring have a packed timetable throughout the three-day event.
For three days, Shooting Times’ rabbiting aficionado Simon Whitehead of Pakefield Ferrets and a team of rabbiting devotees from all over the UK will come together to reintroduce ferreting in the true sense of the word to The Game Fair’s audience.
This year angling is taking centre stage – quite literally – at The Game Fair, with a new and improved Fishing Village at the very heart of the event where Game Fair’s audience can see the latest tackle, get some tips from the experts, and watch the biggest names in the sport demonstrating their skills.

With major manufacturers and retailers in attendance, showcasing the latest airguns and scopes on our state-of-the-art ranges, the Airgun Zone will once again be a must-visit area at The Game Fair.
The Game Fair Enclosure and Restaurant will be open to visitors who wish to enjoy Silver, Gold, or Platinum packages for the day. There will also be numerous bars and catering areas around the site. Not to mention the Totally Food area and Gin Makers Row – to satisfy the growing demand for ‘farm to fork’ food provenance.
The Game Fair campsite is the perfect place to base yourself for the ultimate experience at The Game Fair 2019. Open for 5 nights, from Wednesday 24th July to Monday 29th July, the campsite welcomes caravans, motor homes, horse boxes and tents (with our new pitch size now at 10m x 10m or modules thereof). And for those who want a little more than a standard tent, Bell tents are available either furnished, unfurnished or luxury.
