All is not well in the Tundra of Siberia when the Sun has disappeared from the sky!
Plunged into darkness, the Arctic Animals band together to find and reclaim the Sun, but maybe the strongest and brutish of creatures are not the ones who are best for the job. Maybe someone with long ears that is faster, smarter and more agile is required for the task…
Join The Fabularium Astronomers as they tell the tale of how Leapa the Arctic Hare saved the realm from a villainous beast; a tale of a furry fearless female who brought the light back to the day and also made the night sky glow!
The Fabularium are back, with a story all the way from Far East Asia! Expect to see animal headpieces, puppets, original music, and more! The Hare and The Moon was created in 2019, with funding from Arts Council England and support from Coventry University.
This is a free event. No booking is required.
Saturday 27 August 2022 at 12.30pm and 3.00pm.
The Hare and the Moon is part of Didcot Garden Party
Didcot Garden Party is a summer long installation in Didcot Town Square just outside Cornerstone Arts Centre; injecting colour, life and fun into the heart of our town. The Garden Party will feature a range of shows and workshops across the summer holidays from 23rd July to 31st August. There will be pop up events at various times, but the Garden Party site itself will be open throughout the week.
The town square in front of Cornerstone Arts Centre will be transformed for the Garden Party into a mini-festival site, providing a welcoming and relaxed environment. So if you want to try your hand out at an arts workshop, marvel at some street theatre, or just fancy wiling away the summer afternoons in a giant bean bag with a glass of something chilled, we’ve got you covered.
