From the rampant lion to a couchant unicorn\, all the animals and colours you can see on a coat of arms have a symbolic meaning to be uncovered. Use your knowledge to craft your own heraldic shield. \n\n\n\nThe session runs from 11.00am to 1.00pm. Drop in between these times\, but make sure you leave enough time to complete the activities. \n\n\n\nBooking in advance is recommended to secure your place. Sales from tickets help support the museum’s work to deliver fun and accessible family activities\, community engagement projects\, schools’ workshops\, exhibitions and special events for Oxford’s people in the Museum spaces. \n\n\n\nAccess \n\n\n\nThe Museum is accessible for wheelchair users\, buggies\, and baby carriers. Luxurious hot chocolate and tasty treats are available to buy and enjoy under the stars. Ice skating can be hazardous\, and the operator or management will not be held responsible for any loss or injury incurred regardless of its nature. \n\n\n\nInsurance recommends the use of protective gear (helmet\, elbow/knee pads). Socks are required to be worn in our rental skates. If you have bare feet\, you will not be allowed to rent skates. You can purchase socks and gloves from our box office. \n\n\n\nAny persons who may suffer from high blood pressure\, have any back\, neck\, heart or any other physical limitations should have written clearance from their doctor and copy provided to the Great Skate ice rink management before participating in any ice-skating activities.
