SUMMARY:Simon Evans Is Staring At The Sun
DESCRIPTION:Simon Evans Is Staring At The Sun\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Simon Evans Is Staring At The Sun\n\n\n\nWith growing evidence that we are living in a Computer Simulation – and a pretty glitchy\, off-brand simulation at that – and the approaching watershed of the AI Singularity looming like a weirdly pixelated cumulo-nimbus on the horizon\, BBC Radio 4 stalwart and veteran of a quarter century of highly acclaimed stand-up comedy Simon Evans is squinting at an uncertain future\, and revisiting the blue remembered hills of his youth. \n\n\n\nThe analogue world of hitch-hiking\, pub bets and hedge porn. Of being able to get properly lost. And also pondering the great thinkers and mystics of the past who had\, it seems\, the same doubts and misgivings about ‘reality’\, back when an adjustable sandal passed for cutting-edge tech. \n\n\n\nNB: Any similarity of Doll in package to Patrick Stewart is coincidental. No refunds. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\n£21.00 \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nWednesday 29 April 2026 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n2 hours \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nThe Theatre \n\n\n\nAge guidance: \n\n\n\n14+ only \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has has 217 seats\, including stalls and a balcony. It is a resource for the community\, and it is also a professional venue\, welcoming over 55\,000 customer visits every year. \n\n\n\nIt is something unique\, but it is also different things to different people. It is the cause and subject of many arguments and debates; and a fair amount of acclaim and affection. It is complicated and a little eccentric. \n\n\n\nIt is not a little theatre. It likes to make a big noise. \n\n\n\nDiscover more about The Theatre Chipping Norton\, including travel\, access and venue information.

Come along and decide for yourself. Expect it to be shorter and with lower production values than Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour\, but funnier and with more references to tea. \n\n\n\nJosh Widdicombe: Not My Cup of Tea\n\n\n\nJosh co-hosts the hugely popular podcast Parenting Hell with Rob Beckett\, which has somehow become so popular that they undertook a live arena tour in 2023 and released a book that topped the Sunday Times Bestseller Charts. \n\n\n\nHe’s co-hosted over 30 series of the multi-award-winning Channel 4 series The Last Leg\, is a team captain on Sky Max’s Rob Beckett’s Smart TV \, and co-hosts Sky’s Hold The Front Page. SUMMARY:Alistair McGowan: 3 in 1
DESCRIPTION:Alistair McGowan: 3 in 1\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Alistair McGowan: 3 in 1\n\n\n\nAn evening of classic comedy\, poetry and beautiful piano music – three great shows in one! \n\n\n\nFollowing his Sony album reaching No 1 in the Classical charts\, Alistair McGowan combined his talents as master impressionist and comedian with his new-found talents as a classical pianist. SUMMARY:Daliso Chaponda: Topical Storm
DESCRIPTION:Daliso Chaponda: Topical Storm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Daliso Chaponda: Topical Storm\n\n\n\nDaliso Chaponda has been writing jokes about the news for over a decade – on Have I Got News For You\, Radio 4′ News Quiz\, Australia’s Good News Week and many more besides. (In fact\, he’s seen the news from both sides\, having been in the tabloids himself.) But recently the news has been so absurd\, chaotic and overwhelming that it more or less mocks itself. Where do we go from here? \n\n\n\nTopical Storm is Daliso’s response. A show not about ‘The’ news but about news itself. Journalists\, bloggers\, fake news\, satirical news: have we lost the thread of it all? Is the reporting of news endlessly polarising us as a society rather than educating us? \n\n\n\nWould we be better off going right back to the first-ever news bulletin – the original caveman drawing on a wall – and starting from scratch? Daliso does just that in this explosive new standup show. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReviews\n\n\n\n\n“Full of sharp one-liners and well-crafted gags…a real talent.” ★★★★ \n\n\n\nMetro \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nStandard – £20.00 \n\n\n\nConcessions – £19.00 \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nWednesday 15 April 2026 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n1 hour 40 minutes \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nThe Theatre \n\n\n\nAge guidance: \n\n\n\n14+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton.

SUMMARY:Ray Bradshaw: Coda
DESCRIPTION:Ray Bradshaw: Coda\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Ray Bradshaw: Coda\n\n\n\n1 in 6 adults in the UK will lose their hearing in their lifetime; two of those are Ray Bradshaw’s parents. The multi-award-winning comedian is back on tour with a brand-new show all about growing up as a CODA: a Child of Deaf Adults. His upbringing was nothing like the Oscar-winning film and he’s here to tell you why. \n\n\n\nCODA is a funny\, heartwarming show all about the brilliant things that happen when you grow up in a house where sign language is the first language used; whether it’s watching his dad shut his eyes to win any argument or beating his in-laws easily when they suggested playing charades against a deaf family on Christmas Day. \n\n\n\nRay’s previous shows\, Deaf Com One and Doppelginger\, were huge successes and sold-out theatres across the world. As this show is all about growing up with deaf parents\, every show of CODA will have a BSL interpreter. Ray has previously supported John Bishop on his UK arena tour after John described him as ‘one of the best comedians in the country’. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReviews\n\n\n\n\n“One of the best comedians in the country.” \n\n\n\nJohn Bishop \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nStandard – £23.50 \n\n\n\nConcessions – £20.50 \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nFriday 10 April 2026 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n 1 hour 50 minutes \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nThe Theatre \n\n\n\nAge guidance: \n\n\n\n14+ only \n\n\n\nGood to know: \n\n\n\nThis performance will be BSL interpreted \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has has 217 seats\, including stalls and a balcony.
