SUMMARY:Fisherman’s Friends
DESCRIPTION:Fisherman’s Friends\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Fisherman’s Friends\n\n\n\nIn celebration of performing together for over 30 years on stages across the world\, Fisherman’s Friends are going on tour! Having sold out every venue on their last tour\, including the Royal Albert Hall\, the band look forward to performing old songs and new across the UK’s most prestigious venues. \n\n\n\nOver the last year\, they’ve reached over 100\,000 followers on Facebook. They have two feature films to their name\, grossing more than $15 million at the UK box office\, both of which are now featured on terrestrial and digital television. \n\n\n\nNot to mention top ten album releases\, a musical inspired by their story\, a BBC Folk Award\, a best-selling book\, a TV documentary and prestigious performances from The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations to Hyde Park Proms in the Park\, the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury and 80\,000 rugby fans at Twickenham…and even a performance on Strictly Come Dancing. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n Fisherman’s Friends\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn January\, they released their 5th album ‘All Aboard’ on Island Records\, a relationship that has lasted for 15 years\, home of Bob Marley and Amy Winehouse\, as well as folk legends Fairport Convention and Cat Stevens. This summer\, their song ‘Brave Volunteers’\, a collaboration with Seth Lakeman\, part of Radio 2’s ‘21st Century Folk’\, was playlisted at Radio 2. \n\n\n\nAll the above and more have been achieved while holding down their day jobs. The Fisherman’s Friends are lobster fisherman Jeremy Brown\, author and shopkeeper Jon Cleave\, smallholder and engineer John ‘Lefty’ Lethbridge\, builder John McDonnell (a Yorkshireman who visited Port Isaac more than 30 years ago and never left)\, Padstow fisherman Jason Nicholas\, filmmaker Toby Lobb\, electrician Simon Biddick and two very talented musicians Marcus Bonfanti and Simon Johnson. \n\n\n\nThrough rough seas and calm\, the band has remained exactly what they always were when they first got together to learn a few sea shanties in somebody’s living room – fishermen and their friends. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee. \n\n\n\nSee important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTimes:Doors open at 7.00pm \n\n\n\nDuration:This show has an interval. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout New Theatre Oxford\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nThere has been a theatre on George Street for almost 170 years. SUMMARY:The Bootleg Shadows
DESCRIPTION:The Bootleg Shadows\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Bootleg Shadows\n\n\n\nIn June 1960\, Hank B Marvin\, Bruce Welch\, Jet Harris and Tony Meehan recorded Apache. \n\n\n\nThis charted in July and became the monster hit that launched the Shadows instrumental career and founded a nation of bespectacled guitarists dreaming of acquiring their very own Fender Stratocaster and stepping out into the glaring spotlight of stardom. \n\n\n\nWith their immaculate appearance\, synchronised dance movements and clean\, pure melodic sound\, the Shadows chalked up 35 hits of their own (not counting another 33 hits with Cliff Richard)\, giving them more hits than any other British group and securing them a unique place in the annals of popular music. \n\n\n\nToday\, the Shadows make few live appearances\, but the Bootleg Shadows keep their ‘live’ sound alive by performing a fantasy concert that encompasses the Shadows amazing career from 1960 up until the early 80s. Concert audiences are invited to relive fantastic hits such as: \n\n\n\nFoot Tapper\, Man of Mystery\, Atlantis\, Wonderful Land\, Kon Tiki\, Don’t Cry for Me Argentina\, FBI plus many\, many more. \n\n\n\nIn the company of Geoff\, Keith\, Tony\, Lloyd and Binks\, the audience is taken on a tour of the Shadows career\, with plenty of humour to make it a night out to remember. \n\n\n\nFor anyone who loves the sounds of the 60’s – and enjoys a few laughs on the way – Bootleg Shadows perform a unique tribute that has audiences humming the tunes and doing the Shadows famous ‘walk’ long after they have left the theatre. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWatch the trailer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\n£21.00 \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nSunday 29 March 2026 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n2 hours \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nThe Theatre \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has has 217 seats\, including stalls and a balcony. It is a resource for the community\, and it is also a professional venue\, welcoming over 55\,000 customer visits every year. \n\n\n\nIt is something unique\, but it is also different things to different people. It is the cause and subject of many arguments and debates; and a fair amount of acclaim and affection. It is complicated and a little eccentric. \n\n\n\nIt is not a little theatre. It likes to make a big noise. \n\n\n\nDiscover more about The Theatre Chipping Norton\, including travel\, access and venue information.
