DESCRIPTION:Britten\, Bridge & Elgar – Oxford Symphony Orchestra \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Britten\, Bridge & Elgar – Oxford Symphony Orchestra \n\n\n\nBritten – Four Sea Interludes \n\n\n\nBridge – Oration \n\n\n\nElgar – Falstaff \n\n\n\nTim Posner cello \n\n\n\nRobert Max conductor \n\n\n\nBritten’s Four Sea Interludes\, from his opera Peter Grimes\, focus on the sea and the inhabitants of a fishing village. The interludes are used for changing scenes within the opera\, and portray different moods\, from a sea dawn to a stormy maelstrom. \n\n\n\nBridge’s Oration\, played for us by Tim Posner\, is in the style of a cello concerto.
