DESCRIPTION:Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra\n\n\n\nMusical maestro Jools Holland and his world-renowned Rhythm & Blues Orchestra are delighted to announce their 2026 Autumn / Winter tour. \n\n\n\nKnown for his exuberant live shows\, Jools will once again be backed by the full power and finesse of his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra\, delivering an evening of blues music\, swing music\, boogie woogie and ska\, packed with musical virtuosity and joyful spontaneity. \n\n\n\n\n			\n				\n			\n		Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra\n\n\n\nJoining Jools and the Orchestra as special guest for every date of the tour will be one of the UK’s most celebrated soul voices\, Roachford. Since his breakthrough hit “Cuddly Toy” topped the UK charts in 1988\, Roachford has released 10 studio albums\, been sought after as a songwriter by Michael Jackson\, Joss Stone and Chaka Khan\, and built a reputation as an outstanding live performer. Jools is so excited to have Andrew Roachford with him on this tour. \n\n\n\nOpening each night will be Joe Webb\, one of the UK’s most exciting young pianists and improvisers\, who has guested with Jools Holland on stage on several occasions and appeared on his latest BBC New Year’s Eve Jools’ Annual Hootenanny TV programme. Blending the flavour of Britpop with classic jazz idioms\, Joe’s inclusion is the perfect complement to proceedings. \n\n\n\nFans will be thrilled to hear that the shows will once again feature the incredible Ruby Turner\, the Boogie Woogie Queen\, as well as the outstanding vocals of Louise Marshall\, and Sumudu Jayatilaka. Together with the skillful musicianship of the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra\, Jools Holland will be performing songs from throughout his career. The first theatre was built in 1836\, and a second in 1886. In 1934\, the third New Theatre opened. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has been owned by several different companies and undergone several name changes. It is now owned by the Ambassador Theatre Group and hosts everything from ballet and opera to musicals. \n\n\n\nOn performance days\, the Box Office opens at noon and closes 15 minutes after the show starts. If there is a performance on a Sunday or Bank Holiday\, Box Office will open 2 hours before the show begins and close 15 minutes after the show starts. \n\n\n\nThere is a large air-conditioned bar with seating located below the Stalls Foyer\, two further bars in the Circle Foyer and an additional one at the back of the balcony. All stocked with an array of drinks and snacks. \n\n\n\nThere is a cloakroom located in the stalls bar. If this is closed\, please speak to a member of staff. £1 per item. DESCRIPTION:Level 42 announce Oxford show on 45th anniversary UK tour\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout LEVEL 42\n\n\n\nLEVEL 42 will be heading out on a five-date UK tour in December 2026 to mark 45 years since their first studio album\, 1981’s ‘Level 42’. \n\n\n\nTheir ‘Level 42’ self-titled\, debut studio album was merely the first step in an incredible career for the band who continue to set the benchmark for British Jazz Funk. \n\n\n\nTo date\, the band have released 14 studio albums\, had 18 top 40 singles including the era-defining ‘Lessons in Love’\, ‘Something About You’\, ‘Leaving Me Now’\, ‘Running in the Family’\, and ‘Hot Water’\, sold out Wembley Arena for a total of 21 nights\, and sold in excess of 30 million albums worldwide. \n\n\n\nForty five years on from that first album\, Level 42 are still in demand the world over.
