DESCRIPTION:Oxford Piano Festival \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Oxford Piano Festival 2026\n\n\n\nThe Oxford Piano Festival 2026 will take place from Saturday\, 25 July to Sunday\, 02 August – nine days of piano festivities\, with a packed schedule of masterclasses and concerts from top names in the piano world. \n\n\n\nThe Oxford Piano Festival was founded in 1999 by Marios Papadopoulos\, renowned pianist and Music Director of the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra. Each year\, the Festival welcomes piano players and pedagogues\, experts and enthusiasts\, to some of Oxford’s most historic venues\, such as Sir Christopher Wren’s Sheldonian Theatre\, the Holywell Music Room\, and Christ Church Cathedral. \n\n\n\nThe Oxford Piano Festival takes place in the last week of July on the tranquil and scenic campus of St Hilda’s College\, Oxford\, home of the Jacqueline du Pré Music Building\, and located just a short walk from the city centre. \n\n\n\nThe Oxford Piano Festival’s objective is simple: to inspire\, support and encourage music-making at the piano of the highest quality. Welcoming world-renowned soloists and teachers each year\, the Festival provides gifted young players with a rare opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the world’s finest pianists and teachers\, to perform and learn new repertoire\, as part of a dedicated community of artists which encourages exchange over competition. \n\n\n\nThe concept of the pianist as musician lies at the heart of the Festival. The various roles of the pianist – as virtuoso\, chamber musician\, accompanist\, conductor\, academic and teacher – are all examined. As part of this holistic approach\, the various international schools of piano playing are considered. \n\n\n\nWith Alfred Brendel as the Festival’s Patron\, Sir András Schiff as President\, and the Festival’s founder Marios Papadopoulos a renowned pianist himself\, the bar is set very high in terms of quality and artistic integrity. \n\n\n\nPrevious participants at the Festival have gone on to achieve great success. All customers must have vacated the site by midday on Monday 27 July. \n\n\n\nAdding ‘Thursday Entry’ entitles you to enter the festival on Thursday 24 July\, a day earlier than the Weekend Camping Ticket. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFAQs\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets & booking:\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat ticket types are available?+\n\n\n\n\nTruck Festival offers Weekend Camping\, Weekend Family Camping\, Youth Weekend Tickets (ages 13–17) and Children’s Tickets (12 and under). Upgrades include Thursday Early Entry and Zodiac Fields (premium facilities and location). All upgrade tickets must be purchased alongside a valid Weekend ticket. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat do ticket tiers mean?+\n\n\n\n\nTicket tiers are price-based only. Higher tiers do not offer additional access. Early buyers benefit from lower prices\, while all standard Weekend tickets provide the same entry. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAre Day Tickets available?+\n\n\n\n\nNo. Truck Festival is a weekend-only event and Day Tickets are not available. If plans change\, tickets can be resold safely via the official resale partner\, Tixel.
