SUMMARY:Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets
DESCRIPTION:Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets\n\n\n\nNick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets is returning to the UK this June. Having last played live in the UK in May 2022 with the Echoes Tour\, they have since played extensively through the US and Europe\, including a show in Pompeii in August last year – a venue\, of course\, synonymous with the music of Pink Floyd. \n\n\n\nNick Mason says… “Six years ago when I got behind the drums again and we started playing the early Pink Floyd material\, it was a real pleasure on so many levels. Many of the tracks had never actually been played live\, so to have performed them all over the world has been something we’ve all enjoyed immensely. To get the opportunity to come back to the UK for another tour is something the band and I had been hoping we would be able to do\, so to say “we’re back” feels good!”  \n\n\n\nFormed in 2018\, Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets are Nick Mason\, Gary Kemp\, Guy Pratt\, Lee Harris and Dom Beken\, and they play Pink Floyd’s celebrated and significant early body of work\, including tracks from the era of 1967’s ‘The Piper At The Gates of Dawn’ through to 1972’s ‘Obscured By Clouds’ which has included a much-lauded rendition of the 23-minute epic ‘Echoes’. \n\n\n\nVery few bands are as culturally important as Pink Floyd. They are one of the best-selling music artists of all time\, and Nick Mason is a co-founder and the only constant member of the band performing on all of their albums as well as all of their live shows. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReviews\n\n\n\n\n“The sheer joy and vigour of the band’s performance is as infectious as it is tangible.”—Ian Fortnam\, Classic Rock Magazine \n\n\n\n\n\n“It’s apparent we are witnessing something incredibly special.” —Jerry Ewing\, Prog Magazine \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat the critics say\n\n\n\n\n“…this was the most extraordinary and joyous show.”—Michael Hann\, Financial Times \n\n\n\n\n\n“What a joy it is\, then\, to see Mason back on stage leading a new band devoted to Floyd’s pre-Dark Side of the Moon days.”—Dominic Maxwell\, The Times \n\n\n\n\n\n“The sound was immense\, electrifying\, galvanising\, mesmerising and still deeply strange\, bending the formats of primal rock into all kind of weird and wonderful shapes.”—Neil McCormick\, The Daily Telegraph \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee. \n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nThis is a seated venue. Standing is not permitted during the performance. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout New Theatre Oxford\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nThere has been a theatre on George Street for almost 170 years. The first theatre was built in 1836\, and a second in 1886. In 1934\, the third New Theatre opened. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has been owned by several different companies and undergone several name changes. It is now owned by the Ambassador Theatre Group and hosts everything from ballet and opera to musicals. \n\n\n\nOn performance days\, the Box Office opens at noon and closes 15 minutes after the show starts. If there is a performance on a Sunday or Bank Holiday\, Box Office will open 2 hours before the show begins and close 15 minutes after the show starts. \n\n\n\nThere is a large air-conditioned bar with seating located below the Stalls Foyer\, two further bars in the Circle Foyer and an additional one at the back of the balcony. You’ll find yourself camped in the shadow of the ancient White Horse Hill. The campsite will be open from 3.00pm on Thursday\, 04 July\, and will shut at 6.00pm on Sunday\, 07 July. Amenities include toilets\, cold shower facilities and fresh water taps. \n\n\n\nPlease note\, space is limited in the campsite so please be respectful when choosing the size of your tent. The Event Organiser reserves the right to refuse tents which are considered to be disproportionately large for the number of occupants. There will be no space for gazebos in general camping. \n\n\n\nIn 2024\, there will not be a family-designated camping area. Instead\, families are welcome to camp in general camping. Festival stewards will be able to direct you to quieter camping areas if this is your preference. \n\n\n\nCamper vansYou are welcome to bring your camper van to TH24. You will need to purchase a Camper Van ticket here\, which will be sold on a first come\, first served basis. Tickets are limited. All vehicles entering the site may be subject to searches and all passengers are required to present a valid festival ticket. \n\n\n\nEach vehicle is allocated 7m x 4m to fit all vehicles and living space. Awnings may only be used if they fit within this footprint. If you require a bigger pitch you may purchase two spaces. Tent camping will not be permitted inside the camper van area. The camper van area is on a gradual slope\, so you are encourages to bring levelling ramps. \n\n\n\nGlampingSadly\, the team will not be offering glamping this year. Treehouse is a small festival limited by its land capacity. Space is therefore at a premium and the organisers want to prioritise general camping areas and car parking space. By choosing not to offer glamping this year\, they are able to make better use of the festival site. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGetting there\n\n\n\nBy carThe easiest way to get to Treehouse is by car\, we’re a 45 minute drive from Oxford\, 1 hour from Bristol or 1.5 hours from London. The site does not have a formal address to please use this What3words address to direct you to the site entrance. Car parking tickets are limited and will need to be pre-purchased. \n\n\n\nBy train/busThe easiest train station is Oxford\, 50 minutes direct from Paddington. Public buses can also be taken from Oxford to Wantage\, from which a 15 minute taxi gets you to the site. \n\n\n\nFor the real heroes\, the site is a 25 mile cycle from Oxford through the rolling Oxfordshire countryside. Join the Treehouse WhatsApp group to link up with fellow cyclists. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSustainability\n\n\n\nTreehouseAF is striving to become the first BCorp accredited UK Festival. Every aspect of the festival is being measured\, quantified and analysed to see how the consumption\, pollution\, waste and impact can be reduced and mitigated.

SUMMARY:Fairground Attraction
DESCRIPTION:Fairground Attraction\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Fairground Attraction\n\n\n\nAfter an absence of 35 years\, all four original members of the 80s band Fairground Attraction are reuniting for a 14-date UK tour. \n\n\n\nThe band’s debut\, ‘Perfect’\, went to Number One not only in the UK but in countries all around the world and in 1988\, it won Best Single at The Brit Awards. It has gone on to be regarded as a genuine pop classic. \n\n\n\nLike ‘Perfect’\, ‘What’s Wrong With The World?’ was written by the band’s guitarist Mark Nevin and sung by their brilliant vocalist\, Eddi Reader. In a similar upbeat country-pop vein as their huge hit\, they finally answer the question on everyone’s lips: “What’s wrong with the world?” \n\n\n\nThere is no other band like Fairground Attraction – their use of the guitarrón (a large\, Mexican acoustic bass)\, played by Simon Edwards\, gives the bottom end of their records a warmth and character that combines with drummer Roy Dodds\, Nevin and Reader to create a charming acoustic antidote to all that is modern and digital.  \n\n\n\nWhen they arrived on the scene all those years ago\, their unique sound was described by many as a “breath of fresh air”\, and it is even truer today than it was then. \n\n\n\nAnd where are they now? Who are they now? They are here\, alive and well; they are Fairground Attraction. They survived\, and they’re still smiling. \n\n\n\nFans will also have the chance to see the band live this autumn\, with their first UK tour since they split in 1990. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee. \n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nAge guidance:Under 16s to be accompanied by an adult 21+. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout New Theatre Oxford\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nThere has been a theatre on George Street for almost 170 years. SUMMARY:Bellowhead
DESCRIPTION:Bellowhead\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Bellowhead\n\n\n\nIn 2004\, Bellowhead burst onto the British folk scene like nothing before or since. Famously conjured up by duo Spiers & Boden whilst sitting in a traffic jam\, they roped in friends\, and friends of friends\, until the big band was born. \n\n\n\nIn their early years\, Bellowhead played to hundreds of thousands of people at festivals and on tour and were regularly lauded as “One of the country’s greatest live outfits.” They recorded 5 studio albums (selling over a quarter of a million copies)\, were the proud recipients of 2 x silver discs and won a staggering 8 x BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. \n\n\n\nAfter a hiatus and prompted by a record-breaking online stream during the pandemic\, the band reunited for a joyous sold-out tour in 2022\, which reaffirmed their status as one of the biggest and most in-demand UK folk acts. A review from one of the shows in the Telegraph described it as “A thrilling reunion gig ……. rowdy\, riotous fun.” \n\n\n\n2024 marks Bellowhead’s 20th anniversary. It’s also 20 years since the release of their debut 5 track E.P.Onymous and 10 years since the release of their Top 20 studio album Revival\, which featured favourites including Gosport Nancy and Roll Alabama. \n\n\n\nThe band say: “The reunion tour in 2022 meant such a lot to all of us after such a difficult time\, and seemed to bring so much joy to our fans\, that we thought we’d probably best do it again!” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReviews\n\n\n\n\n“One of the country’s greatest live outfits.” \nDaily Mirror\n\n\n\n\n“Nobody does it better.” \nMojo\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee. \n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nDuration:2 hours 15 minutes\, including an interval. \n\n\n\nDoors open: 7.00pm. \n\n\n\nAge guidance: Age guidance: 5+.Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. \n\n\n\nGood to know:This is a seated venue.
