SUMMARY:Dillie Keane: Thoroughly Modern Dillie
DESCRIPTION:Dillie Keane: Thoroughly Modern Dillie\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Dillie Keane: Thoroughly Modern Dillie\n\n\n\nDillie Keane is thrilled to be coming back to the Theatre at Chipping Norton with a new raft of songs\, once again accompanied by the extraordinary talent of Michael Roulston on piano. \n\n\n\nSome old\, some new\, some borrowed\, some unashamedly blue. Her solo shows have always been a little more reflective than her work with Fascinating Aïda\, but she can’t help her mordant sense of humour getting the better of her most of the time. This new collection of songs is another glorious mix of the hilarious and the heartbreaking. \n\n\n\nIn these uncertain times\, what better than a night of cabaret with one of its most venerable artists? Obviously\, Dillie is getting on in years and her age could count against her\, so let’s hope she survives until February. (And for a good few more years after that\, says she.) \n\n\n\nDillie is a performer and songwriter best known as one-third of the satirical trio\, Fascinating Aïda. She formed the group in 1983 and in spite of all efforts to kill it off several times\, Fascinating Aïda is still going after very nearly 42 years. The group has performed on five continents and garnered 3 Olivier Nominations and 3 Drama Desk nominations. \n\n\n\nLive performance is her first love and she intends to go on performing till infirmity or the Grim Reaper intervenes. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n£25.00 \n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTickets prices:£25.00 \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times:Tuesday 25 February 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nAge guidance:14+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has has 217 seats\, including stalls and a balcony. It is a resource for the community\, and it is also a professional venue\, welcoming over 55\,000 customer visits every year. \n\n\n\nIt is something unique\, but it is also different things to different people. It is the cause and subject of many arguments and debates; and a fair amount of acclaim and affection. It is complicated and a little eccentric. \n\n\n\nIt is not a little theatre. It likes to make a big noise. \n\n\n\nDiscover more about The Theatre Chipping Norton\, including travel\, access and venue information.

SUMMARY:FISH
DESCRIPTION:FISH\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout FISH\n\n\n\nFISH\, the icon of progressive rock and much-acclaimed artist\, singer\, musician\, frontman\, and lyricist extraordinaire is thrilled to announce that he will be embarking on his farewell ‘Road To The Isles’ tour in the UK. \n\n\n\nBidding a final goodbye to the music industry after four decades of hits\, memories\, and touring\, FISH will be playing thirteen celebratory and emotional shows across England and Scotland\, taking in many towns and cities\, including Aylesbury\, where his music career started with Marillion. The tour finishes in Glasgow with a rousing last-ever show\, which will conclude FISH’s extraordinary career as a live performer. \n\n\n\nFISH\n\n\n\n“I’ve been amazed at the response to the tour”\, says FISH\, “and the sales in the first week in Europe were phenomenal\, so much so that dates had to be added to deal with the unprecedented demand. It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to take a bow on such a high and with the UK dates going on sale this week and finally closing the circle I’m sure it’s going to be an emotional finale. \n\n\n\n“I don’t want to be sticking to the same setlist every night and there are so many potential songs for the set we all felt that having a moveable feast was the way forward. The setlist will be covering 12 solo albums and of course\, there will be material from my time with Marillion. \n\n\n\n“There are a few epics from that time that I’d be remiss if I ignored and to be honest\, I’m actually looking forward to revisiting a couple of those tracks. The band members have all played them at one time or another and are all more than capable of delivering fantastic renditions across the board. It’s going to be actually quite exciting revisiting a lot of the material with this historical line-up.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTickets prices: \n\n\n\nThis show is sold out \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nFriday 28 February 2025 at 7.00pm \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nMain auditorium \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Aylesbury Waterside Theatre\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nAylesbury Waterside Theatre is a stunning modern venue at the heart of Buckinghamshire’s cultural scene. \n\n\n\nOpened in 2010\, its striking wooden interior takes inspiration from the rolling Chiltern Hills\, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. In a career spanning five decades\, the great Hungarian pianist has focused on the music of the composer whom he describes as a ‘great scientist who systematically set new challenges for himself\, which he then solved at the highest level possible.’ One such challenge was The Art of Fugue – Bach’s big project to lift the fugal form to new heights just as it was falling from fashion. \n\n\n\nThe result is a work of immense richness\, imagination\, and possibility that a great friend of Oxford\, Schiff\, will perform at the Sheldonian Theatre. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTickets prices: \n\n\n\nStandard tickets – From £15.00 \n\n\n\nStudent – From £5.00 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nWednesday 05 March 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nDoors open at 7.00pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n2 hours\, including an interval \n\n\n\nAge guidance: \n\n\n\n6+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Sheldonian Theatre\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nHome to ceremonial occasions and a raft of exciting events\, the magnificent and versatile Sheldonian Theatre is the focal point of the University of Oxford and is a unique space to experience live music. \n\n\n\nTo see an interactive map of the theatre\, click here. \n\n\n\nFind out more about the Sheldonian Theatre\, including facilities\, access and venue information.
