DESCRIPTION:Dancing Through the Decades – Bryn Ballet Academy\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Dancing Through the Decades – Bryn Ballet Academy\n\n\n\nBryn Ballet Academy presents the student performance “Dancing Through the Decades” \n\n\n\nThe Academy is delighted to be bringing to you an inspiring showcase at the Kenton Theatre. \n\n\n\nThis event will be on Sunday 08 February at 2.00pm and the same show is repeated at 4.30pm (aside from pre-school & pre-primary students\, who will either perform at 2.00pm or 4.30pm). \n\n\n\nAlmost one hundred students from age 3 and up are performing in the performances. This is a fun and exciting opportunity to see the wonderful dancers across all levels of the school\, in celebration of their hard work in ballet and dance training. A tribute to the creativity of our students. \n\n\n\nThe director and owner of the ballet school\, Ms Bryndís Einarsdóttir\, has chosen and choreographed a varied programme incorporating different elements for classical ballet\, contemporary and modern dance. Seating 240\, the theatre today offers a varied programme of comedy\, drama\, music\, talks and more – as well as being available for hire. \n\n\n\nThe theatre is home to annual performances from Henley Amateur Operatic and Drama Society (HAODS)\, Henley Children’s Theatre\, Henley Drama Festival\, Henley Literary Festival\, Henley Players\, Henley Youth Festival\, Mike Hurst\, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO)\, Woodley Light Operatic Society\, amongst others. High-profile performers at the Kenton in recent years include Michael McIntyre\, Georgie Fame\, Haley Mills\, Chris Barber\, Dara O’Briain\, Diana Rigg\, Russell Brand\, PP Arnold and Marti Webb. \n\n\n\nThe theatre’s first production\, the farce The School of Reform took place on 07 November 1805.
