SUMMARY:Mud\, Mirrors & Magic
DESCRIPTION:Mud\, Mirrors & Magic\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Mud\, Mirrors & Magic\n\n\n\nStep into a world of colour\, sparkle\, and creativity in this hands-on art workshop where young artists transform simple materials into stunning mandala masterpieces! \n\n\n\nIn this engaging session\, participants will explore the beautiful folk technique of Lippan (mud mirror art) while designing their own eye-catching mandalas. Using soft clay\, shimmering mirrors\, and vibrant ‘magic colours\,’ children will learn how traditional patterns come alive through symmetry\, texture\, and shine. \n\n\n\nAll sessions will be led by Mansi Jain Chowdhry. \n\n\n\nThere are two sessions available during the day. 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm. \n\n\n\nPlease make sure to arrive on time. While she enjoys the logic and structure of teaching\, her greatest passion lies in exploring colours\, textures and patterns through her artwork. \n\n\n\nShe is particularly inspired by folk designs from around the world\, as well as by nature and traditional crafts. Her creations often blend earthy elements with vibrant colours and sparkling mirror details\, bringing each piece to life with a distinctive and expressive style. \n\n\n\nMansi also runs art workshops\, motivated by a love of sharing creativity with others. She says nothing brings her greater joy than seeing participants discover the magic they are capable of creating. \n\n\n\nShe has also exhibited her work during Oxford Art Weeks\, an experience that she describes as deeply inspiring. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFurther information\n\n\n\nAccess: \n\n\n\nThere is step-free\, level entry access to the Town Hall via the entrance closest to Carfax Tower (to the left of the main steps as you face the Town Hall).
