DESCRIPTION:OxBright Festival\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout OxBright Festival \n\n\n\nThe North Wall is partnering with UCEC to deliver the inaugural OxBright Festival\, an international youth arts festival designed to celebrate creativity\, collaboration and artistic excellence among young people. \n\n\n\nThe festival is founded on the belief that art is a powerful tool to educate\, inspire and connect young people with their communities. It also reflects a commitment to ensuring that all young people have access to high-quality artistic experiences and opportunities to create and present their work. \n\n\n\nOxBright Festival will bring together children and young people aged 8 to 17 for a programme of creative workshops\, Q&A sessions\, performances and opportunities to perform on a professional stage with their school or community group. \n\n\n\nIn the lead-up to the festival\, selected school and community groups will prepare and rehearse performances that will be transferred to The North Wall as part of the festival programme. The facility was opened in 2007\, and offers a fully flexible 200-seat theatre\, a public art gallery\, as well as studios for dance and drama. \n\n\n\nThe centre is owned by St Edward’s School and shared with the city\, and it was created for the benefit of emerging artists across a range of disciplines.
