The event attracts thousands of people from the Wallingford district on the Saturday before or after 05 November. \n\n\n\nThe event starts Saturday 02 November at 6.00pm with a medieval torchlit procession of Guys walking through the crowd\, beating drums\, to light the spectacular bonfire at about 6.30pm\, with added pyrotechnic effects! At around 7.00pm there will be a lower-noise children’s display\, and then the incredible\, award-winning\, main fireworks spectacle! The event will finish around 8.00pm. \n\n\n\nAll timings are approximate\, subject to the weather and safety considerations. \n\n\n\nYou don’t need a ticket\, but Wallingford 1155 asks for a suggested donation of £6.00 for adults and £3.00 for children. All proceeds are donated directly to local charities. You can buy food from the excellent local traders\, drinks at the bar\, and sparklers at the event shop. \n\n\n\nThe fireworks are brought to you by the 2015 and 2017 National Firework Champions – Wallingford’s very own Illusion Fireworks Ltd\, award-winning display designer Karl Mitchell-Shead and his team of pyrotechnicians have designed a spectacular pyromusical firework display. \n\n\n\nThe fireworks are choreographed to the music and fired using their state-of-the-art digital firing system with split second accuracy.
