SUMMARY:Truth and Dances
DESCRIPTION:Truth and Dances\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Truth and Dances\n\n\n\nBy N.F. K. \n\n\n\n“But there is – truth- somewhere\, tied up in sheets\, corseted by the lights and the stage. Somewhere\, a heart\, bound up in a curtain.” \n\n\n\nTruth and Dances tells three short stories of young queer identity. The play moves through the parallel lives of Marshall\, Will and Hal as they struggle with gender expression and dysfunctional relationships. \n\n\n\nThe new writing of N.F. K’s “Portraits” is arresting and expressive\, voicing both the complexity and the immediacy of internal crisis – the experimental dialogue of Truth And Dances is the sound of love and identity fighting to articulate itself. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nAge guidance: 14+ \n\n\n\nDuration: 45 munites \n\n\n\nDates & times:Tuesday 27 February at 9.30pmWednesday 28 February at 9.30pmThursday 29 February at 9.30pmFriday 01 March at 9.30pmSaturday 02 March at 9.30pm \n\n\n\nLocation: BT Studio \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Oxford Playhouse\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nOxford Playhouse and its Burton Taylor Studio present and produce several live performances and feature a rich array of British and international dramas\, family entertainment\, contemporary dance and music\, student and amateur shows\, comedy\, lectures and poetry. \n\n\n\nThe Playhouse not only produces and tours its own theatrical productions\, but it also fosters creativity through its Artists in Residence program and the Playhouse Plays Out series\, which brings unique events to various locations across the county. \n\n\n\nThe theatre’s Participation Team engages over 15\,000 individuals annually\, offering an extensive range of activities\, including post-show discussions\, workshops\, work experience opportunities\, holiday programs\, a youth theatre\, and a company for young performers. \n\n\n\nOxford Playhouse stands dedicated to its mission of being a Playhouse for all\, striving to ignite inspiration and bring about transformative experiences through its commitment to creativity on its stages\, within its community and online. \n\n\n\nDiscover more about Oxford Playhouse\, including travel\, access and venue information.

SUMMARY:The Pact
DESCRIPTION:The Pact\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Pact\n\n\n\nBy Adrienne Knight \n\n\n\n“We go together or we do not go at all; To permanent ends these tragic events unfold.” \n\n\n\nThe Oxford applications process forces sixth-formers Ava and Maxwell\, longtime rivals\, to spend time together. Complex feelings for each other grow\, prompting them to make a pact: if one of them doesn’t get into Oxford\, the other will reject their offer so that they can both be together. \n\n\n\nThe Pact is a new tragicomedy musical created by Adrienne Knight\, exploring how talent and ambition impact relationships. Expect original music\, memorable characters\, and modern twists on tragic tropes. \n\n\n\nUniversity of Oxford Student Season: Hilary Term 2024 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nAge guidance: 14+ \n\n\n\nDuration: 90 munites \n\n\n\nWarning: This production contains strong language\, death\, discussions of death. \n\n\n\nDates & times:Tuesday 27 February at 7.30pmWednesday 28 February at 7.30pmThursday 29 February at 7.30pmFriday 01 March at 7.30pmSaturday 02 March at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nLocation: BT Studio \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Oxford Playhouse\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nOxford Playhouse and its Burton Taylor Studio present and produce several live performances and feature a rich array of British and international dramas\, family entertainment\, contemporary dance and music\, student and amateur shows\, comedy\, lectures and poetry.
