SUMMARY:The Talented Mr Ripley
DESCRIPTION:The Talented Mr Ripley\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Talented Mr Ripley\n\n\n\nStep into a world of deception\, desire\, and deadly ambition. How far would you go to become someone else? \n\n\n\nTom Ripley is a nobody—scraping by in New York\, forging signatures\, telling little white lies—until a chance encounter changes everything. When a wealthy stranger offers him an all-expenses-paid trip to Italy to bring home his wayward son\, Dickie Greenleaf\, Tom leaps at the opportunity. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n The Talented Mr Ripley\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBut in the sun-drenched glamour of 1950s Italy\, surrounded by shimmering waters and whispered secrets\, Tom is seduced by the life Dickie leads—the freedom\, the wealth\, the effortless charm. \n\n\n\nFascination turns to obsession\, and as his grip tightens on Dickie’s world\, the lines between truth and deception begin to blur. What starts as an innocent opportunity spirals into a chilling game of lies\, identity theft\, and murder. \n\n\n\nThe ten-strong ensemble cast is led by Ed McVey as Tom Ripley. Ed was one of the stars of The Crown. Bruce Herbelin-Earle from Netflix’s Free Rein is Dickie Greenleaf\, and EastEnders regular and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Maisie Smith stars as Marge Sherwood. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWatch the trailer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nFrom £15.00 \n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee of £3.95 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nMonday 26 to Saturday 31 January 2026 \n\n\n\nMonday to Saturday at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nThursday and Saturday at 2.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n2 hours 35 minutes\, including an interval \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nMain Auditorium \n\n\n\nAge guidance: \n\n\n\n12+ \n\n\n\nWarning: \n\n\n\nThis production uses strobe effects and smoking on stage. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Aylesbury Waterside Theatre\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nAylesbury Waterside Theatre is a stunning modern venue at the heart of Buckinghamshire’s cultural scene. \n\n\n\nOpened in 2010\, its striking wooden interior takes inspiration from the rolling Chiltern Hills\, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
