SUMMARY:Alan Johnson: The Beatles\, Harold Wilson and Me
DESCRIPTION:Alan Johnson: The Beatles\, Harold Wilson and Me\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Alan Johnson: The Beatles\, Harold Wilson and Me\n\n\n\nThe Right Honourable Alan Johnson is one of the most respected politicians of recent times\, holding several posts in the Blair and Brown governments\, including Health Secretary\, Education Secretary and Home Secretary. But all the while he harboured a secret passion – to become a pop star! \n\n\n\nIn The Beatles\, Harold Wilson & Me\, Alan charts his remarkable story from growing up an orphan in a slum in West London to the corridors of power and the surprising ways the lives of The Beatles and his political hero Harold Wilson interwove with his. \n\n\n\nGuaranteed to delight Baby Boomers everywhere\, this is a nostalgic but unsentimental look back at post-war Britain and how the great figures of the age influenced the country we live in today. \n\n\n\nAlan might never have quite made it onto Top of the Pops\, but arguably his impact on public life is all the greater for it. As John Lennon once sang\, “life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nAll Tickets £26.75 \n\n\n\nTicket prices include a £1.00 Restoration Levy\, a £1.50 Booking Fee and a 25p Community Fund Levy. \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nThursday 16 April 2026 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Kenton Theatre\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nSituated in the centre of Henley-on-Thames\, the Kenton Theatre is the fourth-oldest working theatre in the UK and a registered charity.
