SUMMARY:Rory Stewart - Politics on the Edge
DESCRIPTION:Rory Stewart – Politics on the Edge at New Theatre Oxford \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Rory Stewart – Politics on the Edge\n\n\n\nWho gets to win power\, and how do they keep it and lose it? Who is excluded from power? Does power always corrupt\, or are there examples of leaders who have maintained their integrity while in authority? \n\n\n\nJoin co-presenter of the hit podcast The Rest is Politics\, Rory Stewart – diplomat\, explorer\, cabinet minister and writer-for an evening of no-holds-barred discussion on crisis\, politics and the world order. \n\n\n\nFollowing several sold-out 2023 events\, Rory will be taking to the stage once more. SUMMARY:Professor Brian Cox - Horizons: A 21st Century Space Odyssey
DESCRIPTION:Professor Brian Cox – Horizons: A 21st Century Space Odyssey\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProfessor Brian Cox – Horizons: A 21st Century Space Odyssey\n\n\n\nHaving set two Guinness World Records with his previous sell-out world tour\, Professor Brian Cox is back in regional theatres to see off the sell-out arena tour Horizons. \n\n\n\nHorizons has taken over 250\,000 people across three continents on a dazzling journey – a story of how we came to be and what we can become.  \n\n\n\nUsing state-of-the-art screen technology\, venues across the world – from New Zealand to the Arctic Circle – have been filled with images of far-away galaxies\, alien worlds\, supermassive black holes and the latest theories of the origin of the Universe. \n\n\n\nWhat is the nature of space and time? How did life begin\, how rare might it be\, and what is the significance of life in the Cosmos? What does it mean to live a small\, finite life in a vast\, eternal Universe?  \n\n\n\nHaving travelled the world\, it’s now time to bring Horizons back home to the UK for a final journey around our magnificent and baffling Universe. \n\n\n\nHorizons is a celebration of our civilisation – our music\, art\, philosophy and science. It is an optimistic vision of our future if we continue to explore nature with humility and value ourselves and our fellow human beings. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReviews\n\n\n\n\nScience and cosmology doesn’t get any more dazzling and interesting than this – a wonderful journey through space and time orchestrated by Professor Brian Cox \nDaily Echo\n\n\n\n\nIs your brain hurting yet?
