DESCRIPTION:Hidden Voices of WW1\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Hidden Voices of WW1\n\n\n\nCome along to uncover diverse and unheard voices of World War One\, including Oxford’s own flying ace\, Hardit Singh Malik. \n\n\n\nThe Museum of Oxford welcomes Bali Rai\, a multi-award-winning writer who holds a leading voice in UK children’s fiction. He has over twenty years of experience working with young people across the UK and abroad. Bali is a passionate advocate of reading for pleasure and promoting literacy and empathy. \n\n\n\nThere are 3 sessions\, each session is 1 hour: 11.00am-12.00pm\, 1.00pm-2.00pm\, 2.30pm-3.30pm. \n\n\n\nPlease make sure to arrive on time. We allow a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals. After this point\, we cannot guarantee admission to the activity. \n\n\n\nThis workshop is suitable for ages 8+ \n\n\n\nTickets cost £5.00 per child and can be purchased online via Eventbrite (booking fee applies) or at the Museum Shop. Each child ticket includes free entry for one accompanying adult. Children must be supervised at all times. \n\n\n\nWe recommend booking in advance to secure your place. \n\n\n\nSales from tickets help support our work to deliver fun and accessible family activities\, community engagement projects\, schools workshops\, exhibitions\, and special events for Oxford’s people in our Museum spaces. \n\n\n\nAccess \n\n\n\nThere is step-free\, level entry access to the Town Hall via the entrance closest to Carfax Tower (to the left of the main steps as you face the Town Hall). Inside the Museum\, Museum Makers is accessible via a platform lift to the Galleries and then a lift to the basement. \n\n\n\nAccessible toilets are available in the Museum (close to Museum Makers) and in the Town Hall on the ground floor\, before entering the Museum. Please contact the Museum team if you’d like to talk to a member of staff about your access requirements.
