Great for ages 4-8! \n\n\n\nYour child will make new friends\, be creative\, stay active\, and of course\, have lots of fun with a variety of activities. \n\n\n\nAt the end of the week on Friday at 2.30pm\, the kids will perform in a mini-musical performance on the Kenton theatre stage for family and friends to watch! \n\n\n\nOur summer camp runs from 9am-3pm\, Monday – Friday. \n\n\n\nWhat to expect: \n\n\n\n\nMusic and dance\n\n\n\nShowtime on stage\n\n\n\nDisco and games parties\n\n\n\nFun sports activities\n\n\n\nArts and Crafts\n\n\n\nOutdoor adventures\n\n\n\nInteractive stories\n\n\n\nExclusive use of the whole theatre\n\n\n\nDifferent themes every day!\n\n\n\n\nAll entertainers and camp leaders are DBS-checked\, fully trained\, and PLI-insured. Seating 240\, the theatre today offers a varied programme of comedy\, drama\, music\, talks and more – as well as being available for hire. \n\n\n\nThe theatre is home to annual performances from Henley Amateur Operatic and Drama Society (HAODS)\, Henley Children’s Theatre\, Henley Drama Festival\, Henley Literary Festival\, Henley Players\, Henley Youth Festival\, Mike Hurst\, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO)\, Woodley Light Operatic Society\, amongst others. Celebrate 80 years of the signing of peace after World War II by dancing the morning away. Learn to jive and lindy hop. \n\n\n\nAdults bring your kids\, kids bring your adults! This is fun for all the family and for all ages! Head to the Museum of Oxford for a fun-filled intergenerational dance workshop. Our excellent dance instructor will aim to be as inclusive as possible to support all abilities and ages. \n\n\n\nLearn the dances that would have filled the dance halls 80 years ago when peace was declared at the end of World War II. \n\n\n\nThere is 1 hour long session: 11.00am-12.00pm. \n\n\n\nPlease make sure to arrive on time. We allow a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals. After this point\, we cannot guarantee admission to the activity. \n\n\n\nThis workshop is suitable for ages 5-100! \n\n\n\nWe recommend booking in advance to secure your place. \n\n\n\nSales from tickets help support our work to deliver fun and accessible family activities\, community engagement projects\, schools workshops\, exhibitions\, and special events for Oxford’s people in our Museum spaces. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFurther information\n\n\n\nScaffolding at Oxford Town Hall: \n\n\n\nFrom August 2025\, scaffolding will be in place outside Oxford Town Hall. Both entrances to the Town Hall (main steps and level access entrance) will remain fully open and accessible while these essential maintenance works are carried out. More information can be found on our Plan Your Visit page. \n\n\n\nAccess: \n\n\n\nThere is step-free\, level entry access to the Town Hall via the entrance closest to Carfax Tower (to the left of the main steps as you face the Town Hall). Inside the Museum\, Museum Makers is accessible via a platform lift to the Galleries and then a lift to the basement. \n\n\n\nAccessible toilets are available in the Museum (close to Museum Makers) and in the Town Hall on the ground floor\, before entering the Museum. Please contact the Museum team if you’d like to talk to a member of staff about your access requirements.
