SUMMARY:ART
DESCRIPTION:ART\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout ART\n\n\n\nBy Yasmin Reza \n\n\n\nPainting is easy when you don’t know how\, but very difficult when you do. Three friends\, one painting\, and a plethora of repressed emotions that need to be unpacked. \n\n\n\nYvan and Marc’s friend Serge has just bought a painting for 200\,000 euros. It is modern to say the least — an entirely white canvas. Differences in taste cause tensions to arise between the three\, resulting in an explosion of emotions. \n\n\n\nThis production will be a high-octane retelling of Reza’s Tony and Olivier award-winning comedy\, including punchy jazz\, striking visuals\, and exceptional performances. Come and witness an exploration of human relationships and see what happens when the people you love have changed. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\n£6.00 – £8.00 \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nTuesday 03 to Saturday 07 June 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n1 hour 40 minutes \n\n\n\nAge guidance: \n\n\n\n12+ \n\n\n\nLocation:  \n\n\n\nBT Studio \n\n\n\nWarning: \n\n\n\nThis show includes allusions to violence and strong language \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Oxford Playhouse\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nOxford Playhouse and its Burton Taylor Studio present and produce several live performances and feature a rich array of British and international dramas\, family entertainment\, contemporary dance and music\, student and amateur shows\, comedy\, lectures and poetry. \n\n\n\nThe Playhouse not only produces and tours its own theatrical productions\, but it also fosters creativity through its Artists in Residence program and the Playhouse Plays Out series\, which brings unique events to various locations across the county. \n\n\n\nThe theatre’s Participation Team engages over 15\,000 individuals annually\, offering an extensive range of activities\, including post-show discussions\, workshops\, work experience opportunities\, holiday programs\, a youth theatre\, and a company for young performers. \n\n\n\nOxford Playhouse stands dedicated to its mission of being a Playhouse for all\, striving to ignite inspiration and bring about transformative experiences through its commitment to creativity on its stages\, within its community and online. \n\n\n\nDiscover more about Oxford Playhouse\, including travel\, access and venue information.

It would be criminal to miss it… \n\n\n\n*Cast and performance schedule subject to change without notice. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCHICAGO the Musical\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReviews\n\n\n\n\n“Sexy\, Sassy\, Sultry\, Seductive\, Sensual\, Slinky\, Sophisticated.” —Independent on Sunday \n\n\n\n\n\n“A razzling – dazzling evening that is not to be missed.” —The Sun \n\n\n\n\n\n“Still the sexiest\, most sensational musical.” —Sunday Express \n\n\n\n\n\n“Sheer theatrical bliss.” —Daily Telegraph \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee. \n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nAge guidance: 13+ \n\n\n\nDates & times:Monday\, 24 February at 7.30pmTuesday\, 25 February at 7.30pmWednesday\, 26 February at 7.30pmThursday\, 27 February at 2.30pm and 7.30pmFriday\, 28 February at 7.30pmSaturday\, 01 March at 2.30pm and 7.30pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout New Theatre Oxford\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nThere has been a theatre on George Street for almost 170 years. SUMMARY:The Importance Of Being Earnest
DESCRIPTION:The Importance of Being Earnest by Oxford Theatre Guild\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Importance of Being Earnest by Oxford Theatre Guild\n\n\n\nBy Oscar Wilde \n\n\n\n“The truth is rarely pure and never simple…” \n\n\n\nBest friends and fashionable young men\, Algernon Moncrieff and Jack Worthing\, seem to have hit upon the perfect ruse to escape their social responsibilities. SUMMARY:Noises Off
DESCRIPTION:Noises Off\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Noises Off\n\n\n\nOne of the greatest British comedies ever written returns to The Playhouse following a sell-out and triumphant West End run. \n\n\n\nMichael Frayn’s celebrated play serves up a riotous double bill\, a play within a play. Hurtling along at breakneck speed\, Noises Off follows the on and offstage antics of a touring theatre company as they stumble their way through the fictional farce\, Nothing On. \n\n\n\nFrom the shambolic final rehearsals before opening night in Weston-super-Mare\, to a disastrous matinee in Ashton-under-Lyne seen entirely\, and hilariously silently\, from backstage\, before we share their final\, brilliantly catastrophic performance in Stockton-on-Tees. \n\n\n\nOne of the UK’s favourite actresses\, Liza Goddard’s extensive stage comedy credits include Life of Riley\, Communicating Doors\, Season’s Greetings and Relatively Speaking. \n\n\n\nPaul Bradley is best known for playing Nigel Bates in EastEnders and Elliot Hope in Holby City. \n\n\n\nSimon Shepherd’s many credits include Peak Practice and the West End productions of Posh\, The Duck House\, Rapture\, Art and Hay Fever. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReviews\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n★★★★★ “One of the most joyous farces ever written… reduced me to laughter so helpless I could barely see the stage for crying.” \nWhatsOnStage\n\n\n\n\n★★★★ “Pure comic bliss. Dazzlingly brilliant… has lost none of its power to reduce well-behaved adults to hysterical wrecks.” \nDaily Mail\n\n\n\n\n★★★★ “Glorious… one of the funniest plays in the canon.” \nThe Times\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nAge guidance: 12+ \n\n\n\nDuration:135 minutes\, including an interval. \n\n\n\nDates & times:Tuesday 20 February at 7.30pmWednesday 21 February at 2.30pm & 7.30pm (Captioned)Thursday 22 February at 2.30pm & 7.30pmFriday 23 February at 8.00pmSaturday 24 February at 2.30pm (Audio Described\, with Touch Tour at 1.00pm) & 7.30pm \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Oxford Playhouse\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nOxford Playhouse and its Burton Taylor Studio present and produce several live performances and feature a rich array of British and international dramas\, family entertainment\, contemporary dance and music\, student and amateur shows\, comedy\, lectures and poetry.
