It also provides a free marketplace for local producers and crafts people. \n\n\n\nRegular stallholders bring fresh fruit and veg\, locally reared meat\, sustainably sourced fish\, artisan bread\, cheese and milk. Other traders produce fantastic cakes\, jams\, chutneys\, pasta\, chocolates and even plants and soaps. \n\n\n\nThe market has an amazing range of freshly made dishes from diverse food regions – Japanese\, Middle-Eastern\, Asian\, and the Mediterranean. There’s also a cafe that serves coffee\, tea\, cakes\, and a ‘Full Wolvercote’ breakfast. \n\n\n\nThe market is open every Sunday from 10.00am to noon at The White Hart Community Pub in Godstow Road\, Lower Wolvercote. \n\n\n\nThere is a Repair Café and bike clinic on the 2nd Sunday of each monthBring along your broken small electrical item\, and a trained volunteer will try to fix it for you and save it from the landfill. They also have volunteer mechanics to provide tune-ups and repairs\, and to offer advice to get your cycles rolling smoothly. \n\n\n\nIf you’re arriving by bicycle\, there are plenty of bike racks and a regular bike.

DESCRIPTION:Oxford City Remembrance Sunday Service will be held at the War Memorial in St Giles’\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Oxford City Remembrance Sunday 2026 Service\n\n\n\nThe Lord Mayor of Oxford\, in partnership with the Oxford City branch of the Royal British Legion\, will host a Remembrance Sunday Service at the War Memorial in St Giles’ on Sunday 08 November 2026. \n\n\n\nThe Lord Mayor of Oxford will be joined by military units\, uniformed organisations\, community groups\, civic dignitaries\, residents and visitors from across the county to mark Remembrance Sunday. \n\n\n\nRemembrance Sunday takes place on the second Sunday in November and honours those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to secure and protect our freedom. \n\n\n\nMilitary units\, organisations and community groups will gather for 10.00am at the junction of Beaumont Street and St Giles’. The first theatre was built in 1836\, and a second in 1886. It is now owned by the Ambassador Theatre Group and hosts everything from ballet and opera to musicals. \n\n\n\nOn performance days\, the Box Office opens at noon and closes 15 minutes after the show starts. If there is a performance on a Sunday or Bank Holiday\, Box Office will open 2 hours before the show begins and close 15 minutes after the show starts. \n\n\n\nThere is a large air-conditioned bar with seating located below the Stalls Foyer\, two further bars in the Circle Foyer and an additional one at the back of the balcony. It is run by a committee and a group of volunteers. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGetting there\n\n\n\nThe market takes place every Saturday from 10.00am to 1.00pm at East Oxford Primary School. This is a lovely place to meet up and take a break from shopping. \n\n\n\nThe market is wheelchair accessible both inside and outside. \n\n\n\nThe East Oxford Farmers’ & Community Market is a non-profit making organisation (a Society for the Benefit of the Community). It is run by a committee and a group of volunteers. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGetting there\n\n\n\nThe market takes place every Saturday from 10.00am to 1.00pm at East Oxford Primary School. Head down Cowley Road until you reach Tesco – the school borders on the car park directly behind it.

The market aims to provide the community with locally-produced great tasting food. \n\n\n\nThe Sunday market serves the community and visitors by providing fresh\, affordable and ethically sourced food as well as a place to meet\, eat and socialise with friends and neighbours. It also provides a free marketplace for local producers and crafts people. \n\n\n\nRegular stallholders bring fresh fruit and veg\, locally reared meat\, sustainably sourced fish\, artisan bread\, cheese and milk. Other traders produce fantastic cakes\, jams\, chutneys\, pasta\, chocolates and even plants and soaps. \n\n\n\nThe market has an amazing range of freshly made dishes from diverse food regions – Japanese\, Middle-Eastern\, Asian\, and the Mediterranean. There’s also a cafe that serves coffee\, tea\, cakes\, and a ‘Full Wolvercote’ breakfast. \n\n\n\nThe market is open every Sunday from 10.00am to noon at The White Hart Community Pub in Godstow Road\, Lower Wolvercote. \n\n\n\nThere is a Repair Café and bike clinic on the 2nd Sunday of each monthBring along your broken small electrical item\, and a trained volunteer will try to fix it for you and save it from the landfill. They also have volunteer mechanics to provide tune-ups and repairs\, and to offer advice to get your cycles rolling smoothly. \n\n\n\nIf you’re arriving by bicycle\, there are plenty of bike racks and a regular bike.
