SUMMARY:Dillie Keane: Thoroughly Modern Dillie
DESCRIPTION:Dillie Keane: Thoroughly Modern Dillie\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Dillie Keane: Thoroughly Modern Dillie\n\n\n\nDillie Keane is thrilled to be coming back to the Theatre at Chipping Norton with a new raft of songs\, once again accompanied by the extraordinary talent of Michael Roulston on piano. \n\n\n\nSome old\, some new\, some borrowed\, some unashamedly blue. Her solo shows have always been a little more reflective than her work with Fascinating Aïda\, but she can’t help her mordant sense of humour getting the better of her most of the time. This new collection of songs is another glorious mix of the hilarious and the heartbreaking. \n\n\n\nIn these uncertain times\, what better than a night of cabaret with one of its most venerable artists? Obviously\, Dillie is getting on in years and her age could count against her\, so let’s hope she survives until February. (And for a good few more years after that\, says she.) \n\n\n\nDillie is a performer and songwriter best known as one-third of the satirical trio\, Fascinating Aïda. She formed the group in 1983 and in spite of all efforts to kill it off several times\, Fascinating Aïda is still going after very nearly 42 years. The group has performed on five continents and garnered 3 Olivier Nominations and 3 Drama Desk nominations. \n\n\n\nLive performance is her first love and she intends to go on performing till infirmity or the Grim Reaper intervenes. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n£25.00 \n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTickets prices:£25.00 \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times:Tuesday 25 February 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nAge guidance:14+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has has 217 seats\, including stalls and a balcony. SUMMARY:Jekyll & Hyde
DESCRIPTION:Jekyll & Hyde\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Jekyll & Hyde\n\n\n\nBased on the novel by Robert Louis Stevenson \n\n\n\nMusic and lyrics by Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse \n\n\n\nPresented by University of Oxford student company: Broken Wheel Productions \n\n\n\n“All human beings are commingled out of good and evil.” \n\n\n\nRobert Louis Stevenson’s beloved story as you’ve never seen it before! \n\n\n\nAccompanied by a powerful pop-rock score\, this musical adaptation of the 1886 classic tells the story of Doctor Henry Jekyll’s attempts to purify man’s soul\, unintentionally releasing his evil alter ego onto the dark streets of Victorian London. \n\n\n\nThis gothic thriller from the award-winning duo of Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse explores themes of class division\, moral ambiguity\, and the duplicity of man in an epic tale of love\, betrayal\, and revenge.
