SUMMARY:Punk Off – The Sounds of Punk and New Wave
DESCRIPTION:Punk Off – The Sounds of Punk and New Wave\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Punk Off – The Sounds of Punk and New Wave\n\n\n\nNot many musical explosions define a generation and change music forever. There was Rock and Roll in 1956\, Beatlemania in 1963\, Flower Power in 1967\, The birth of Rock in 1970 and then there was… Punk and New Wave. \n\n\n\nBetween 1976 and 1979 the music world and popular culture were turned upside down as bands\, musicians\, and fashion adopted a new and fresh ‘DIY’ approach to making music and expressing itself. SUMMARY:Jack Savoretti UK Solo Winter Tour 2025
DESCRIPTION:Jack Savoretti UK Solo Winter Tour 2025\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Jack Savoretti UK Solo Winter Tour 2025\n\n\n\nFollowing his most recent single ‘l Don’t Understand It’\, a sold-out summer tour\, the largest ever sold-out shows outside the UK\, collaborations with Italian legend Zucchero and Australian pop royalty Natalie Imbruglia\, Jack Savoretti releases Bada Bing\, Bada Boom featuring the formidable Miles Kane (The Last Shadow Puppets). \n\n\n\nOver the past years\, Jack Savoretti has taken the male singer-songwriter genre in a direction entirely of his own. As he has evolved from the guitar-picking troubadour that caught the attention of Hollywood’s music supervision community early on in his career to more recently the chart-topping arena-selling crooner\, he manages to avoid every pigeon-hole thrown in his direction. \n\n\n\nJack Savoretti UK Solo Winter Tour 2025\n\n\n\nNow with his 8th album ‘Miss Italia’ he continues to forge this singular path. While few artists manage to make an 8th album\, even fewer do so in a different language and to such critical acclaim. In the words of The Times\, ‘Jack sounds like an Italian Joe Cocker.’ \n\n\n\n‘Miss Italia’ came at an important moment in Jack’s life\, as his Italian father had recently passed away. Jack explains; “My father was the anchor that tied me to Italy\, the connection to my roots that I felt I was at risk of losing without him. So I went back to school. I didn’t want to imitate Italian music\, I wanted to make it my own\, combining everything I had learned over almost 20 years of experience from working in America\, England\, and Italy\, merging Anglo-Saxon singer-songwriting with Italian to create something unique. I first had to learn to write in Italian before making MY album in Italian‘. \n\n\n\nFor an artist who has been making and selling millions of albums for over sixteen years\, Jack’s reputation as a singer-songwriter is perfectly epitomised by the kinds of collaborators he attracts\, previously including cultural icons the likes of Bob Dylan\, Kylie Minogue\, Shania Twain\, Sophie Ellis-Bextor\, and Nile Rodgers among many others. Now\, Miss Italia begins a new chapter in this distinguished career. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nDate & time: \n\n\n\nSunday 09 March 2025 \n\n\n\nDoors open at 6.30pm                                       \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout New Theatre Oxford\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nThere has been a theatre on George Street for almost 170 years. SUMMARY:Hard Truths
DESCRIPTION:Hard Truths\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Hard Truths\n\n\n\nLegendary filmmaker Mike Leigh returns to the contemporary world with a fierce\, compassionate\, and often darkly humorous study of family and the thorny ties that bind us. \n\n\n\nReunited with Leigh for the first time since multiple Oscar-nominated Secrets and Lies\, the astonishing Marianne Jean-Baptiste plays Pansy\, a woman wracked by fear\, tormented by afflictions\, and prone to raging tirades against her husband\, son\, and anyone who looks her way. \n\n\n\nMeanwhile\, her easygoing younger sister\, played by Michele Austin (Another Year)\, is a single mother with a life as different from Pansy’s as their clashing temperaments – brimming with communal warmth from her salon clients and daughters alike. \n\n\n\nThis expansive film from a master dramatist takes us into the intensities of kinship\, duty\, and the most enduring human mysteries: that even through lifetimes of hurt and hardship\, we still find ways to love those we call family. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReviews\n\n\n\n\n”Mike Leigh’s latest is a scorchingly funny drama of depression\, rage – and love.” ★★★★ \n\n\n\nThe Telegraph \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n£8.00 – £11.00 \n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTickets prices:Standard tickets – £11.00Under 16s – £8.00 \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times:Sunday 09 March 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time:1 hour 37 minutes \n\n\n\nFilm rating:15 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has has 217 seats\, including stalls and a balcony. It is a resource for the community\, and it is also a professional venue\, welcoming over 55\,000 customer visits every year. \n\n\n\nIt is something unique\, but it is also different things to different people. It is the cause and subject of many arguments and debates; and a fair amount of acclaim and affection. It is complicated and a little eccentric. \n\n\n\nIt is not a little theatre. It likes to make a big noise. \n\n\n\nDiscover more about The Theatre Chipping Norton\, including travel\, access and venue information.

BBC Radio 1 presenter\, the late John Peel made it his single of the year. \n\n\n\nThey are particularly proud of their UK chart success with songs such as I Will Love You and When You Were Sweet Sixteen\, which helped bring Irish folk and traditional music to a completely new audience. DESCRIPTION:The Astonishing Adventures of Kitty and Peg\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Astonishing Adventures of Kitty and Peg\n\n\n\nStep back in time with The Astonishing Adventures of Kitty and Peg\, a rollicking two-hander set backstage at the Theatre Royal\, Drury Lane in 1745. \n\n\n\nThis hilarious period farce brings to life the real stars of the era: English sensation Kitty Clive\, famed for her powerful voice and being the first to sing ‘Rule Britannia\,’ and Irish firecracker Peg Woffington\, known for her daring male roles and alluring legs. \n\n\n\nWhen these iconic actresses are abruptly dismissed\, they must rely on more than just their talents to remain in the public eye.
