SUMMARY:The Astonishing Adventures of Kitty and Peg
DESCRIPTION:The Astonishing Adventures of Kitty and Peg\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Astonishing Adventures of Kitty and Peg\n\n\n\nStep back in time with The Astonishing Adventures of Kitty and Peg\, a rollicking two-hander set backstage at the Theatre Royal\, Drury Lane in 1745. \n\n\n\nThis hilarious period farce brings to life the real stars of the era: English sensation Kitty Clive\, famed for her powerful voice and being the first to sing ‘Rule Britannia\,’ and Irish firecracker Peg Woffington\, known for her daring male roles and alluring legs. \n\n\n\nWhen these iconic actresses are abruptly dismissed\, they must rely on more than just their talents to remain in the public eye. Their desperate antics include spreading fake news\, staging a dramatic brawl\, and unintentionally poisoning the famous cross-dressing puppeteer-turned-butcher\, Charlotte ‘Mr Brown’ Charke. \n\n\n\nWill Kitty and Peg reclaim their jobs\, face the gallows\, or will the public’s fascination with True Crime secure their fame? Don’t miss this fast-paced\, irreverent\, and cheeky romp filled with mischief and mayhem – and yes\, there’s women wrestling! \n\n\n\nPick A Price \n\n\n\nWe at The Theatre Chipping Norton believe passionately that art is for everyone. Therefore\, we are proud to be continuing our programme of Pick A Price events. \n\n\n\nTickets for our Pick A Price events start at £5\, and we have recommended pricing to help you choose a price that works for you. \n\n\n\nPick A Price\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n£5.00 – £25.00 \n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTickets prices:£5.00 – £25.00 through the Pick A Price scheme \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times:Wednesday 12 March 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nAge guidance:18+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has has 217 seats\, including stalls and a balcony. It is a resource for the community\, and it is also a professional venue\, welcoming over 55\,000 customer visits every year. \n\n\n\nIt is something unique\, but it is also different things to different people. It is the cause and subject of many arguments and debates; and a fair amount of acclaim and affection. It is complicated and a little eccentric. \n\n\n\nIt is not a little theatre. It likes to make a big noise. \n\n\n\nDiscover more about The Theatre Chipping Norton\, including travel\, access and venue information.

SUMMARY:English Youth Ballet - Cinderella in Hollywood
DESCRIPTION:English Youth Ballet – Cinderella in Hollywood\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout English Youth Ballet – Cinderella in Hollywood\n\n\n\nEnglish Youth Ballet’s newest ballet – Cinderella in Hollywood comes to Aylesbury Waterside Theatre in a glamorous\, cinematic style. \n\n\n\nThe acclaimed production will star 8 international principal dancers and showcase the exciting talent of 100 of the region’s top young dancers. \n\n\n\nCinderella in Hollywood will take you back to the glamorous era of 1950s Hollywood movies. The lavish ballet draws its inspiration from the film star Grace Kelly who met Prince Rainier of Monaco at a press party and later married him. Cinderella is a seamstress on a film set and the Fairy Godmother is her late mother – a former movie star of the 1930s. \n\n\n\nHer wicked sisters are Hollywood starlets competing with each other for starring film roles. The Prince meets Cinderella at the press party but at midnight she flees from the scene leaving a sparkly silver pointe-shoe as the only clue to her identity. \n\n\n\nEnglish Youth Ballet – Cinderella in Hollywood\n\n\n\nThe soaring musical score to Cinderella in Hollywood features music by Shostakovich and Gershwin and has a jazz-age feel. Much of the score is instantly recognisable – with gems such as Shostakovich’s Jazz Suite\, Tea for Two and Smoke Gets in Your Eyes. \n\n\n\nEnglish Youth Ballet’s stunning professional principal dancers have danced in some of the world’s top ballet companies including the Royal Ballet Company\, English National Ballet\, National Ballet of Portugal\, Ballet Capitole du Toulouse\, Vienna Festival Ballet\, and Cymru Ballet. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWatch the trailer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReviews\n\n\n\n\n“Talented young dancers supported by some of the world’s finest principal dancers.” \n\n\n\nSunday Express \n\n\n\n\n\n“With a cast of over 100\, the scale of the ballet was truly staggering\, culminating in a kaleidoscope of colour and outstanding talent.” \n\n\n\nNewcastle Evening Chronicle \n\n\n\n\n\n“A truly spell-binding show\, audience members were left enthralled by the highest levels of skill and creativity.” \n\n\n\nThe Sentinel \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTickets prices: \n\n\n\nFrom £18.50 \n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee of £3.95 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nFriday 14 to Saturday 15 March 2025 \n\n\n\nFriday at 7.30pm\, Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\nThis show has an interval \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nMain auditorium \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Aylesbury Waterside Theatre\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nAylesbury Waterside Theatre is a stunning modern venue at the heart of Buckinghamshire’s cultural scene. \n\n\n\nOpened in 2010\, its striking wooden interior takes inspiration from the rolling Chiltern Hills\, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. SUMMARY:Churchill - History and Humour
DESCRIPTION:Churchill – History and Humour\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Churchill – History and Humour\n\n\n\nActor and Historian\, Jeff Rozelaar\, returns to the Norman Bragg studio following his successful performance as Benjamin Disraeli in November 2022. \n\n\n\nIn the third person\, Jeff now delivers a portrayal of arguably “The Greatest Briton”\, Winston Churchill\, in a matinee performance. \n\n\n\nChurchill – History and Humour\n\n\n\n“We are all worms\, but I am a glow worm!” Winston Churchill. \n\n\n\nAct One \n\n\n\nA sprig of the aristocracy: Born to an American heiress and a descendent of the Duke of Marlborough\, Winston’s early life is portrayed from school to the start of his military career. His adventurous spirit relished action on behalf of the British Empire. His early journalistic and political ventures are depicted\, as is his contribution to the foundations of the Welfare State. This controversial figure is then mentioned in the context of Gallipoli 1915 and the General Strike 1926. \n\n\n\nAct Two \n\n\n\nThe second part starts with Winston in the political wilderness in the early 1930s and goes on to cover his eventual inclusion in the government when he was proved right about the Fuhrer. It depicts his legendary leadership of our country from “The Fall of France” and the prospect of invasion\, to final victory. It references the hurtful rejection by his own people in 1945 but finishes with the most outstanding of his treasured humorous quotations. \n\n\n\nThe production is enlivened by a visually engaging back projection\, evocative music\, and live dramatic episodes. \n\n\n\nWinston Churchill – History and Humour has enjoyed huge popularity on land and on innumerable cruise ships across the World. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTickets prices: \n\n\n\nFrom £15.68 \n\n\n\nNo transaction fees \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nMonday 17 March 2025 at 2.00pm \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nNorman Bragg Studio \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Aylesbury Waterside Theatre\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nAylesbury Waterside Theatre is a stunning modern venue at the heart of Buckinghamshire’s cultural scene. \n\n\n\nOpened in 2010\, its striking wooden interior takes inspiration from the rolling Chiltern Hills\, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
