SUMMARY:Sofia Wierkus & Violette Baransi: Through the Fence
DESCRIPTION:Sofia Wierkus & Violette Baransi: Through the Fence\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Sofia Wierkus & Violette Baransi: Through the Fence\n\n\n\nIsraeli artist Sofia Wierkus and Palestinian artist Violette Baransi have spent the past two years working in collaboration\, exploring the complex realities of life on both sides of the fence. \n\n\n\nThrough their shared experience\, the young artists have created a powerful body of work that responds to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East—without taking sides or making explicit political statements. \n\n\n\nThe artists’ creative journey has been shaped by the events of October 7\, a pivotal moment in both artists’ work. Their response to these events and the broader realities of war unfold through a variety of media\, with a particular emphasis on printmaking. Each piece speaks to the destruction\, trauma\, and human cost of conflict on both sides of the divide. \n\n\n\nThis exhibition showcases a mix of individual and collaborative works\, where the artists process the ongoing conflict in a deeply personal yet shared artistic language. \n\n\n\nThis includes a short film documenting an ongoing community engagement youth initiative in Israel-Palestine. Through their art\, Wierkus and Baransi invite viewers to witness the impact of war without simplifying it into partisan narratives\, offering a poignant reflection on the human experience at the heart of the ongoing crisis. \n\n\n\nThrough the Fence is more than an art exhibition; it is an exploration of our shared humanity. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nFree entry. SUMMARY:Blue Moon
DESCRIPTION:Blue Moon\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Blue Moon\n\n\n\n…You know how in marriage they say “for better or for worse”? I think\, in terms of my life\, I have entered the “for worse” part\, and it happened so quietly that I didn’t even recognize it. \n\n\n\nRichard Linklater’s Blue Moon tells the story of legendary lyricist Lorenz Hart bravely facing the future as his professional and private life unravels at the opening night party for his former partner’s hit show\, Oklahoma! \n\n\n\nBy the time this night is over\, Hart will have confronted both a world that no longer values his talent and the seeming impossibility of love. \n\n\n\nReviews\n\n\n\n\n“Ethan Hawke is majestically miserable in this musical biopic”. \n\n\n\nThe Telegraph \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nStandard – £12.00 \n\n\n\nUnder 16s – £9.00 \n\n\n\nFriends 2 for 1/half price \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nSunday 11 January 2026 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n1 hour 40 minutes \n\n\n\nFilm rating: \n\n\n\nTBC \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nThe Theatre \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has has 217 seats\, including stalls and a balcony. It is a resource for the community\, and it is also a professional venue\, welcoming over 55\,000 customer visits every year. \n\n\n\nIt is something unique\, but it is also different things to different people. It is the cause and subject of many arguments and debates; and a fair amount of acclaim and affection. It is complicated and a little eccentric. \n\n\n\nIt is not a little theatre. It likes to make a big noise. \n\n\n\nDiscover more about The Theatre Chipping Norton\, including travel\, access and venue information.
