SUMMARY:Didcot Railway Centre Steam Days
DESCRIPTION:Didcot Railway Centre Steam Days\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Didcot Railway Centre Steam Days\n\n\n\nTravel back in time to the golden age of the Great Western Railway and savour the sights\, sounds and smells of steam as you explore this 21-acre living museum with trains dating from Victorian times to the 1960s. \n\n\n\nSteam trains will operate on at least one of the centre’s two demonstration lines\, allowing you to take unlimited rides. On many days\, the second line will be running too and may feature a pioneering diesel railcar\, a heritage diesel locomotive or a small branchline steam engine. Check the Locomotive Roster to see what will be running on the date of your visit. \n\n\n\n\nStroll around the 1932 Engine Shed housing our unique collection of operational and cosmetically-restored locomotives. Find 5900 Hinderton Hall\, climb onto the footplate and listen to Archie\, the driver\, and Stan\, the fireman\, prepare their loco! Listen out for the sounds of a working engine shed and see if you can hear Stan fetch his supplies from Jonah\, the storeman.\n\n\n\nVisit the carriage and wagon display of restored rolling stock from Victorian times to the 1940s\, including the VIP Saloon reputed to have been used by General Eisenhower during the preparations for D-Day and later used in the GWR Royal Train\, and our restoration workshops\n\n\n\nMarvel at Brunel’s Broad Gauge railway\, locomotives\, coaches and transfer shed and don’t miss a section of his not entirely successful ‘Atmospheric Railway’\n\n\n\nGet hands-on in The Signalling Centre where you can find out how trains have been controlled through the ages.  The Swindon Panel is demonstrated on certain specified dates.\n\n\n\nDescend into a shelter built to keep Didcot’s enginemen safe in WWII and experience an air raid\n\n\n\nImmerse yourself in the huge and varied collection of fascinating\, smaller items in the Museum. \n\n\n\nDiscover some GWR road vehicles in the Road Transport Hangar.\n\n\n\n\nChildren can also make tracks to the outdoor play area or dress up as a station master. You can relax over lunch or enjoy a snack in the refreshment rooms\, and don’t forget to pick up a souvenir in the gift shop. The modern trains running past the centre complete the picture and mean you can experience over 180 years of railway progress in just one day. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nAdmission for 2 people with Tea & Cake (Gift Aid) – £53.00                        \n\n\n\nAdult Admission (Gift Aid) – £20.50       Senior Admission (65+) (Gift Aid) – £19.00       Child Admission (Gift Aid) – £13.00                                         Child Under 3 Admission (FREE) (Gift Aid) – £0.00 \n\n\n\nFamily of 4 Admission (Gift Aid) for 2 Adults and 2 Children – £61.00                              Family of 5 Admission (Gift Aid) for 2 Adults and 3 Children – £72.00                              Carer Admission (Gift Aid) – £0.00 \n\n\n\nAdmission prices are inclusive of all regular attractions including free train rides on running days. \n\n\n\nChild prices apply to children aged 3 to 15 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGood to know\n\n\n\n\nDidcot Railway Centre will be open at 10.30am\, with the last entries at 2.30pm.\n\n\n\nYou are welcome to stay until close at 4.00pm.\n\n\n\nPlease have your original e-ticket ready to show the staff. \n\n\n\nPlease also bring your membership card if you’re a member or your carer’s ID if you have booked a carer’s ticket.\n\n\n\nOn arrival at Didcot Parkway Station\, please show your ticket to GWR staff\, who will let you through the barrier. SUMMARY:Carmen Rose Davidson album launch: Sincerely Yours
DESCRIPTION:Carmen Rose Davidson – Album Launch of Sincerely Yours\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Carmen Rose Davidson – Album Launch of Sincerely Yours\n\n\n\nSinger-songwriter Carmen Rose Davidson brings her new album ‘Sincerely Yours’ to Oxford this October\, marking the culmination of a decade-long creative journey. \n\n\n\nThe evening promises to showcase Davidson’s unique approach to music – what she calls “contradiction as art form.” Blending theatrical glamour with raw authenticity\, her sound refuses categorisation\, drawing from Gospel\, Blues Rock\, Country\, and 80s influences with equal passion. \n\n\n\n‘Sincerely Yours’ represents Davidson’s most personal work yet\, exploring mental health\, the impact of eating disorders\, scars of domestic violence\, relationships\, faith\, love\, and resilience with unflinching honesty. \n\n\n\nThe album was expedited following a personal loss earlier this year\, adding urgency to songs that were already deeply felt. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n Carmen Rose Davidson – Album Launch of Sincerely Yours\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDavidson’s credentials speak for themselves – performances at the BBC\, The Roundhouse\, Camden\, and The Queen’s Jubilee have established her as a strong live performer. Her multicultural background and genre-blending approach create something distinctly her own in today’s music landscape. \n\n\n\nThe Bullingdon provides the perfect intimate setting for an artist who describes her mission as creating “real music for real feelings.” Expect powerhouse vocals\, genuine storytelling\, and an evening that celebrates both the beautiful and broken aspects of human experience. \n\n\n\nThis isn’t just an album launch – it’s an invitation into Davidson’s world\, where vulnerability meets strength and authenticity reigns supreme. \n\n\n\nTo check out Carmen’s vibe please visit carmenrosedavidson.co.uk & Youtube @carmenrosedavidson \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nThe event will run on a donation basis. DESCRIPTION:Carlos Acosta’s Nutcracker in Havana\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Carlos Acosta’s Nutcracker in Havana\n\n\n\nA Cuban take on the favourite festive classic\, Carlos Acosta’s brand-new production Nutcracker in Havana explodes onto the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre stage\, featuring new choreography by Carlos Acosta CBE performed by more than 20 dancers from his Cuban company\, Acosta Danza. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n Carlos Acosta’s Nutcracker in Havana\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSet to an exuberant Cuban newly commissioned version of the magnificent Tchaikovsky score\, arranged by Cuban composer Pepe Gavilondo\, the timeless story is brought to life with ballet at its core\, enriched with Acosta Danza’s unique style and with Cuban dance traditions beautifully woven throughout the much-loved and joyful family tale. \n\n\n\nJoin Clara in her humble home in Havana\, getting ready to celebrate Christmas with her family. The beer cans are on the tree and Cuba is suitably hot. When Clara is gifted a Nutcracker doll\, she embarks on the journey of a lifetime to defeat the Rat King and into the world of the Sugar Plum Fairy\, accompanied by her Nutcracker Prince. \n\n\n\nWith spectacular video projection and set design by Nina Dunn (9to5 Musical\, Bonnie and Clyde\, BRB’s Don Quixote)\, Cuba collides with the Land of Sweets\, bringing snow to Havana. With lighting by Andrew Exeter (Oti Mabuse: I Am Here\, The Full Monty UK Tour\, Johannes Radebe: House of JoJo) and costumes by Angelo Alberto (costume designer for Goyo Montero’s ‘Imponderable’ and Raul Reinoso’s ‘Satori’ with Acosta Danza)\, Nutcracker in Havana is a visually stunning\, spectacular treat for all. \n\n\n\nFor dance fans around the globe\, Carlos is an international superstar of the classical ballet world. Born in Havana and trained at the National School of Ballet in Cuba\, he went on to dance professionally with the world’s most prestigious companies\, with London’s Royal Ballet becoming his home. Having tackled huge titles throughout his career\, from Carmen to Don Quixote\, Nutcracker in Havana is an opportunity for Acosta to fuse this festive treat with a little Havana heat. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWatch the trailer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nFrom £24.00 \n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee of £3.95 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nFriday 31 October to Saturday 01 November 2025 \n\n\n\nFriday and Saturday at 7.30pm\, \n\n\n\nSaturday at 2.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n1 hour 52 minutes\, including an interval \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nMain Auditorium \n\n\n\nAge guidance: \n\n\n\n8+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Aylesbury Waterside Theatre\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nAylesbury Waterside Theatre is a stunning modern venue at the heart of Buckinghamshire’s cultural scene. \n\n\n\nOpened in 2010\, its striking wooden interior takes inspiration from the rolling Chiltern Hills\, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
