SUMMARY:Abingdon Drama Club presents Things I Know to Be True
DESCRIPTION:Abingdon Drama Club presents Things I Know to Be True by Andrew Bovell\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Abingdon Drama Club presents Things I Know to Be True by Andrew Bovell\n\n\n\nAbingdon Drama Club is proud to present ‘Things I Know to Be True’ by acclaimed Australian playwright Andrew Bovell — a beautifully observed and deeply moving exploration of family\, love\, and identity. \n\n\n\nAt the heart of the play are Bob and Fran\, devoted parents who have worked their fingers to the bone to provide for their four children. With their children now grown\, it may finally be time to slow down and tend to their beloved garden — and perhaps enjoy the fruits of their labour. \n\n\n\nBut as the seasons change\, so too does the landscape of their family life. Long-held assumptions are challenged\, expectations unravel\, and shattering truths emerge\, forcing each member of the family to confront who they are — and what they mean to one another. \n\n\n\nTold through the eyes of the four adult siblings\, Things I Know To Be True is as tender as it is bold. Each child struggles to define themselves beyond the powerful pull of parental love and expectation. As they pursue independence\, they must also navigate the enduring bonds that both sustain and constrain them. \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n Abingdon Drama Club presents Things I Know to Be True by Andrew Bovell\n\n\n\nPoetic\, humorous\, and brutally frank\, the play is a complex and intense study of the mechanics of a family — a story that resonates with anyone who has ever loved\, lost\, or longed to be understood. \n\n\n\nBovell’s writing captures the quiet heroism of ordinary lives while asking profound questions: Can love ever be too much? And what does it truly mean to let go? \n\n\n\nAbingdon Drama Club’s production promises an emotionally rich and compelling theatrical experience that will leave audiences reflecting on their own families long after the curtain falls. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nStandard – £15.00 \n\n\n\nConcessions – £12.00 \n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a booking fee\, and can be purchased online or from The Bookstore \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nWednesday 25 to Saturday 28 March 2026 at 7.30pm

SUMMARY:Met Opera: Tristan und Isolde
DESCRIPTION:Met Opera: Tristan und Isolde\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Met Opera: Tristan und Isolde\n\n\n\nAfter years of anticipation\, a truly unmissable event arrives in cinemas worldwide in March 2026 as the electrifying Lise Davidsen tackles one of the ultimate roles for dramatic soprano: the Irish princess Isolde in Wagner’s transcendent meditation on love and death. Heroic tenor Michael Spyres stars opposite Davidsen as the love-drunk Tristan. \n\n\n\nThe momentous occasion also marks the advent of a new\, Met-debut staging by Yuval Sharon—hailed by The New York Times as “the most visionary opera director of his generation” and the first American to direct an opera at the famed Wagner festival in Bayreuth—as well as Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin’s first time leading Tristan und Isolde at the Met. \n\n\n\nMezzo-soprano Ekaterina Gubanova reprises her portrayal of Brangäne\, alongside bass-baritone Tomasz Konieczny\, who sings Kurwenal after celebrated Met appearances in Wagner’s Der Fliegende Holländer and Ring cycle. Bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green makes an important role debut as King Marke. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWatch the trailer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nStandard – £19.50 \n\n\n\nUnder 16s – £14.50 \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nFriday 27 March 2026 at 5.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n5 hours 10 minutes \n\n\n\nFilm rating: \n\n\n\n12A \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nThe Theatre \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has has 217 seats\, including stalls and a balcony. It is a resource for the community\, and it is also a professional venue\, welcoming over 55\,000 customer visits every year. \n\n\n\nIt is something unique\, but it is also different things to different people. It is the cause and subject of many arguments and debates; and a fair amount of acclaim and affection. It is complicated and a little eccentric. \n\n\n\nIt is not a little theatre. Britain’s best-loved gardener\, Monty Don\, returns with a brand-new show celebrating his landmark book and BBC2 series\, British Gardens. \n\n\n\nUsing beautiful imagery and stories\, Monty explores the landscapes\, traditions\, and tales that reveal who we are through the gardens we create. After years of travelling the world — from Japan and America to Italy\, the Adriatic\, Spain\, and the Mediterranean — he now turns his focus homeward. \n\n\n\nMonty Don: A Journey Through British Gardens\n\n\n\nFrom Scotland’s northern tip to the Cornish coast\, Monty uncovers what our gardens reveal about us as a nation: our ingenuity\, eccentricity\, and enduring connection to the natural world. \n\n\n\nHe’ll take audiences from Alnwick Gardens and Beatrix Potter’s Lake District farmhouse to the rewilded walled garden at Knepp\, celebrating the beauty\, creativity\, and diversity of Britain’s landscapes. \n\n\n\nWarm\, wise\, and deeply rooted in the soil of Britain\, Monty invites you to reflect on the gardens that have shaped our story — and discover the ways we continue to find ourselves in the earth beneath our feet. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nFrom £35.44 \n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee of £3.95 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nFriday 27 March 2026 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\nThis show has an interval \n\n\n\nAge guidance: \n\n\n\n14+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout New Theatre Oxford\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nThere has been a theatre on George Street for almost 170 years. SUMMARY:Camera Club: Spring 2026 Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Camera Club: Spring 2026 Exhibition\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Camera Club: Spring 2026 Exhibition\n\n\n\nCamera Club is part of The North Wall’s YouthLab programme\, which supports young people aged 12 to 17 in developing their creative skills alongside professional artists. \n\n\n\nEvery year a group of 6 to 8 aspiring photographers works with artist Elina Medley to create images using digital SLR cameras and then to curate an exhibition of photography. \n\n\n\nLast summer they worked in the studio as well as the streets and parks of Oxford to experiment with different subject matter and approaches to image-making. Over four days they built on their technical and creative skills and discovered the subjects they love to photograph. \n\n\n\nDuring the October half-term\, they immersed themselves in several exhibitions of photography and learnt so much about how to curate their own exhibition. \n\n\n\nThe group are looking forward to one more day of planning in February before they install their group exhibition in the Spring. Come along and meet our latest cohort of wonderful photographers; they will be staffing the gallery during the show. \n\n\n\nThis exhibition takes place at Magdalen Road Studios. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nFree entry \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nSaturday 28 March to Thursday 02 April 2026 at 11.00am \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n4 hours \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nMagdalen Road Studios

DESCRIPTION:Oxford Harmonic Choir: Bach St Matthew Passion\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Oxford Harmonic Choir: Bach St Matthew Passion\n\n\n\nJ. S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion was completed in 1727 and has been widely recognized\, to this day\, as the greatest sacred choral work of all time.
