SUMMARY:Reverend Richard Coles: Borderline National Trinket
DESCRIPTION:Reverend Richard Coles: Borderline National Trinket\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Reverend Richard Coles: Borderline National Trinket\n\n\n\nReverend Richard Coles is the only British vicar to have had a number-one hit single and to have appeared as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing and since the first leg of this tour\, he’s charmed his way to the final of ITV’s ‘I’m A Celebrity’. \n\n\n\nHe is also an enormously loved broadcaster and a ‘Sunday Times’ bestselling author whose new novel ‘A Death On Location’ comes out this summer. Is this national trinket on the verge of becoming a national treasure? \n\n\n\nMany would say so\, but the man himself would probably disagree. Still\, whether you see him as a treasure or trinket\, this is a wonderful opportunity for an intimate evening with one of the UK’s most distinctive voices. Anecdotes from a life well lived\, gossip\, wit\, and wisdom… and a Q and A for those curious about the jungle. After phenomenal demand for the first dates last year\, the Reverend returns for a new leg of his first-ever full national tour. \n\n\n\nThe second half of the show is a Q&A. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nReviews\n\n\n\n\n“[The Reverend Richard Coles] has\, in his own softly spoken and modest way\, become something of a national treasure ” \n\n\n\nIndependent \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat the critics say\n\n\n\n\n“Coles is a witty\, intelligent\, and sage raconteur with a fascinating story.” ★★★★★ \n\n\n\nThe Wee Review \n\n\n\n\n\n“The comedy equivalent of afternoon tea will leave you pleasantly entertained.” ★★★★ \n\n\n\nThe Scotsman \n\n\n\n\n\n“Truly fascinating.” ★★★★ \n\n\n\nOne4Review \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nFrom £32.69 \n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee of £3.95 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nMonday 14 July 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nDoors open at 7.00pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n2 hours\, including an interval \n\n\n\nAge guidance:  \n\n\n\n16+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout New Theatre Oxford\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nThere has been a theatre on George Street for almost 170 years. DESCRIPTION:Meditate and Create: Slow Stitching\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Meditate and Create: Slow Stitching\n\n\n\nGently doodle with embroidery. \n\n\n\nJoin local artist Eden for a 2-hour session for adults\, all about slowing down and taking care of yourself. \n\n\n\nThe session starts with a mindfulness meditation for 10-15 minutes. This is always optional\, and you can choose to just sit and listen if you’d prefer.  \n\n\n\nWe will then explore a simple\, mindful creative activity together\, where the focus is on the doing\, rather than putting pressure on an outcome. \n\n\n\nFor your safety \n\n\n\nThis session includes an optional mindfulness meditation to help you relax. You can always choose to just listen rather than take part. \n\n\n\nIt will last around 10-15 minutes. Whilst mindfulness meditation is generally a very safe practice\, there are some contraindications: \n\n\n\n\nAs we may be focusing on the breath\, if you have asthma or a serious breathing difficulty\, please have a fully charged inhaler with you.\n\n\n\nAs relaxation can trigger epileptic seizures\, if you have epilepsy that is not controlled by medication\, please seek your doctor’s permission before joining.\n\n\n\n\nWhen booking your place\, you agree to the above terms and conditions and agree that you have read and fully understand the terms and conditions around health care. Ultimately\, the responsibility to take the best care of yourself lies with you. \n\n\n\nA bit about Eden \n\n\n\nEden is an artist facilitator and works across Oxfordshire with groups of all ages. Her art sessions are all about taking time out for ourselves and looking after our wellbeing\, rather than putting too much pressure on the final product. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\n£10.00 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nTuesday 15 July 2025 at 7.00pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n2 hours \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nThe Hanney \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Beacon\, Wantage\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Beacon is a community centre in Wantage offering live events\, cinema screenings\, room hire\, coffee shop\, children’s parties\, class timetable\, receptions and more. \n\n\n\nAs a vibrant gathering place for the local community\, it offers a varied programme of events from film screenings\, live music\, theatre and stand-up comedy to a range of classes and workshops. \n\n\n\nAt The Beacon\, there is also a regular programme of events for the local community to participate in and enjoy\, including stand-up comedy\, live music\, theatre productions\, guest speakers\, film screenings and pantomime. \n\n\n\nDiscover more about The Beacon\, including travel\, access and venue information.

SUMMARY:London City Ballet - Momentum
DESCRIPTION:London City Ballet – Momentum\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout London City Ballet – Momentum\n\n\n\nReborn and returning for 2025… \n\n\n\nLondon City Ballet\, the former resident company of Sadler’s Wells\, returns after a staggering inaugural year that included a global tour through Asia\, America\, and Europe. \n\n\n\nPerforming with the company in Oxford will be celebrated ballerina\, Alina Cojocaru. \n\n\n\nIn keeping with London City Ballet’s ethos of bringing to the stage rarely seen works\, we present George Balanchine’s Haieff Divertimento – an early work by the master choreographer originally dubbed lost for 40 years after its premiere and to this day remaining unseen outside the USA.  \n\n\n\nAlexei Ratmansky\, New York City Ballet’s artist in residence\, is a leading light on the global dance scene. ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’\, to Modest Mussorgsky’s eponymous score\, is set against a backdrop depicting Wassily Kandinsky’s best-known masterpieces. Here\, the dancers truly bring the art to life.  \n\n\n\nUnseen in the UK since its 2009 premiere\, Consolations & Liebestraum by Liam Scarlett is a response to Franz Liszt’s piano score of the same name. Scarlett’s affecting ballet depicts the lifecycle of a relationship\, its blossoming and later fracturing love. \n\n\n\nEmerging choreographer\, Florent Melac\, best known as a Premier Danseur at the Paris Opera Ballet\, creates a new work for the company in a unique\, fluid\, musical style which combines inventive transitions with intimate partnering. \n\n\n\nJoin London City Ballet as it builds momentum and continues forging a path to Theatres across the world.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat the critics say\n\n\n\n\n“London City Ballet is wide awake and back in business.” \n\n\n\nThe Times \n\n\n\n\n\n“…a glorious revival.” \n\n\n\nThe Guardian \n\n\n\n\n\n“An astute mix of revivals and new work.” \n\n\n\nThe Times \n\n\n\n\n\n“…leaves an indelible mark on the mind.” \n\n\n\nBristol Post \n\n\n\n\n\n“…rings with the clarity of perfection.” \n\n\n\nStage Talk \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nFrom £35.00 \n\n\n\nTickets are subject to a transaction fee of £3.95 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nWednesday 16 and Thursday 17 July 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time:  \n\n\n\n1 hour 40 minutes\, including an interval \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout New Theatre Oxford\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nThere has been a theatre on George Street for almost 170 years.
