SUMMARY:The Bootleg Shadows
DESCRIPTION:The Bootleg Shadows\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Bootleg Shadows\n\n\n\nIn June 1960\, Hank B Marvin\, Bruce Welch\, Jet Harris and Tony Meehan recorded Apache. \n\n\n\nThis charted in July and became the monster hit that launched the Shadows instrumental career and founded a nation of bespectacled guitarists dreaming of acquiring their very own Fender Stratocaster and stepping out into the glaring spotlight of stardom. \n\n\n\nWith their immaculate appearance\, synchronised dance movements and clean\, pure melodic sound\, the Shadows chalked up 35 hits of their own (not counting another 33 hits with Cliff Richard)\, giving them more hits than any other British group and securing them a unique place in the annals of popular music. \n\n\n\nToday\, the Shadows make few live appearances\, but the Bootleg Shadows keep their ‘live’ sound alive by performing a fantasy concert that encompasses the Shadows amazing career from 1960 up until the early 80s. Concert audiences are invited to relive fantastic hits such as: \n\n\n\nFoot Tapper\, Man of Mystery\, Atlantis\, Wonderful Land\, Kon Tiki\, Don’t Cry for Me Argentina\, FBI plus many\, many more. \n\n\n\nIn the company of Geoff\, Keith\, Tony\, Lloyd and Binks\, the audience is taken on a tour of the Shadows career\, with plenty of humour to make it a night out to remember. \n\n\n\nFor anyone who loves the sounds of the 60’s – and enjoys a few laughs on the way – Bootleg Shadows perform a unique tribute that has audiences humming the tunes and doing the Shadows famous ‘walk’ long after they have left the theatre. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWatch the trailer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\n£21.00 \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nSunday 29 March 2026 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n2 hours \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nThe Theatre \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has has 217 seats\, including stalls and a balcony. It is a resource for the community\, and it is also a professional venue\, welcoming over 55\,000 customer visits every year. \n\n\n\nIt is something unique\, but it is also different things to different people. It is the cause and subject of many arguments and debates; and a fair amount of acclaim and affection. It is complicated and a little eccentric. \n\n\n\nIt is not a little theatre. It likes to make a big noise. \n\n\n\nDiscover more about The Theatre Chipping Norton\, including travel\, access and venue information.

SUMMARY:Mary Knowland: Lines of Enquiry
DESCRIPTION:Mary Knowland: Lines of Enquiry\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Mary Knowland: Lines of Enquiry\n\n\n\nMary Knowland grew up surrounded by art; her father was a painter\, however\, her initial training was in ceramics with Robin Welch and then at Harrow School of Art. After many years exhibiting and selling\, she returned\, via a course in textiles\, to her drawing and painting roots but has more recently included ceramics in her practice. \n\n\n\nThis collection of work offers us insights into her process of enquiry through line and a variety of media\, working with the human form\, the rhythms of the coast\, the simplicity of everyday objects and natural forms. \n\n\n\nTwo approaches to making drawings and paintings will be apparent. Consciously controlled mark-making and brush strokes verging on the abstract sit alongside a much freer approach where she is not looking at the subject while the work is in progress\, yet capturing the essence of the subject. \n\n\n\nDevelopment of an idea can be seen across a series of drawings where line also directly connects to the ceramics and\, in its various forms\, line is present throughout the exhibition. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\nFree entry \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nTuesday 31 March to Sunday 19 April 2026 \n\n\n\nExhibition Opening \n\n\n\nTuesday 31 March from 6.00pm to 8.00pm \n\n\n\nPlease join for drinks to celebrate the opening of this exhibition \n\n\n\nFree event. SUMMARY:Royal Ballet and Opera: Siegfried

Soon\, destiny brings him face-to-face with a shattered sword\, a fearsome dragon and the cursed ring it guards\, and a Valkyrie forced into enchanted slumber… \n\n\n\nMoments of transcendent beauty and heroic triumph sparkle in the third chapter of Wagner’s Ring cycle\, brought to life under Barrie Kosky’s inspired eye following his spectacular Das Rheingold (2023) and Die Walküre (2025). \n\n\n\nAndreas Schager\, in his much-anticipated debut with The Royal Opera\, stars as Siegfried’s titular hero\, alongside Christopher Maltman’s towering Wanderer\, Peter Hoare’s treacherous Mime and Elisabet Strid’s radiant Brünnhilde. Antonio Pappano conducts\, drawing out the unspoken tensions and ethereal mysticism of Wagner’s dynamic score. \n\n\n\nCast: \n\n\n\nSiegfried Andreas Schager \n\n\n\nMime Peter Hoare \n\n\n\nDer Wanderer Christopher Maltman \n\n\n\nBrünnhilde Elisabet Strid \n\n\n\nAlberich Christopher Purves \n\n\n\nFafner Soloman Howard \n\n\n\nErda Wiebke Lehmkuhl \n\n\n\nWoodbird Sarah Dufresne \n\n\n\nCreatives: \n\n\n\nMusic Richard Wagner \n\n\n\nConductor Antonio Pappano \n\n\n\nDirector Barrie Kosky \n\n\n\nSet Designer Rufus Didwiszus \n\n\n\nCostume Designer Victoria Behr \n\n\n\nLighting Designer Alessandro Carletti \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\n£19.50 \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nTuesday 31 March 2026 at 5.15pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n5 hours 30 minutes\, including two intervals \n\n\n\nFilm rating: \n\n\n\n15 \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nThe Theatre \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has has 217 seats\, including stalls and a balcony.
