Today\, regular stalls include: \n\n\n\n\nMighty Pie Co – artisan traditional hand made meat & vegetarian flat & raised pies made from local ingredients\n\n\n\nCrudges Cheese – a range of cheeses hand made by ethical & sustainable cheese makers known personally to award-winning Crudges\n\n\n\nWillowbrook Farm – free-range chicken\, lamb\, beef\, organic eggs & local honey\n\n\n\nNatural Bread – handcrafted speciality breads\n\n\n\nMrs B’s Antiques – antique jewellery & vintage household goods\n\n\n\nJericho Coffee Traders – premium coffee roasted in Jericho & served from a vivid turquoise tuk-tuk\n\n\n\nJason’s Book Box – second-hand books\n\n\n\nSandy Lane Farm – seasonal\, fresh\, local organic fruit & veg\, lamb & pork\n\n\n\nSESI Food & Detergent Filling Station – refilling empty containers for fairtrade\, organic dried foods; household detergents & hair-care products\n\n\n\n\nThe market also has a cafe which runs each week selling delicious breakfasts\, lunches\, cakes and fair-trade teas and coffee. This is a lovely place to meet up and take a break from shopping. \n\n\n\nThe market is wheelchair accessible both inside and outside. \n\n\n\nThe East Oxford Farmers’ & Community Market is a non-profit making organisation (a Society for the Benefit of the Community). It is run by a committee and a group of volunteers. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGetting there\n\n\n\nThe market takes place every Saturday from 10.00am to 1.00pm at East Oxford Primary School. Head down Cowley Road until you reach Tesco – the school borders on the car park directly behind it.

As well as the choir’s performance\, enjoy seasonal readings and the chance for everyone to join in with the audience carols. \n\n\n\nChrist Church Cathedral Choir is revered for the vibrancy of its sound and its artistic flexibility\, performing early and contemporary music with equal skill.  \n\n\n\nOver the years\, the choir has provided a perfect platform for singers to progress to other award-winning choral groups such as the BBC Singers\, The Sixteen\, The King’s Singers\, The Tallis Scholars and The Cardinall’s Musick\, as well as to solo careers in oratorio\, opera and musical theatre. \n\n\n\nThe choir is regularly involved in broadcasts of Evensong and other key services and concerts\, and is often heard performing theme tunes and incidental music for TV dramas and films.  \n\n\n\nMusic at Oxford’s annual celebration of Christmas music and carols at Christ Church is enjoyed by many and is a firm fixture in the choir’s diary. From here on he discovered that he enjoyed his involvement with children’s publishing\, and not only did he have lots of ideas for books\, but he realised it was something for which he had a natural aptitude. \n\n\n\nThe early 80’s saw the emergence of so-called ‘novelty’ books for children\, and Rod Campbell’s use of interactive elements in early learning books for the young established his reputation for innovative books for the under 5’s. Many had flaps to lift or other interactive elements\, the best known of which being Dear Zoo. \n\n\n\nRod Campbell’s approach to books for babies and toddlers is instinctive\, with simplicity being paramount. He sees himself as a ‘maker’ of books rather than as an author or illustrator. He uses flaps or pop-ups in a book only when he feels they give an extra dimension to a simple story or when they will serve to enhance the ‘reality’ of certain images. \n\n\n\nFor the youngest\, he believes that a degree of physical involvement is crucial in drawing the child into books and maintaining their interest. More recently\, he’s also well known to have travelled by steam train\, but now he’s hopping onboard a vintage Oxford bus. \n\n\n\nVisit Father Christmas in his bus grotto while enjoying a complimentary vintage bus ride.
