SUMMARY:King 810: Welcome to the Rustbelt
DESCRIPTION:King 810: Welcome to the Rustbelt\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout King 810: Welcome to the Rustbelt\n\n\n\nFlint\, Michigan – a huge part of America’s industrial rustbelt history\, home to infamous trailblazers King 810\, and the inspiration behind the band’s latest single and title track ‘Rustbelt Nu Metal‘\, out now. \n\n\n\nRecorded live on the spring equinox in one day in front of a live studio audience of 50 people\, the music video flashes images of the harrowing reality of life on the streets of Flint; contaminated drinking water\, gun fights\, knife crime\, unsafe sex work\, and drug dependency\, all topped off with vocalist and creative visionary David Gunn‘s signature snarls and fervent venom. \n\n\n\nTaken from their next upcoming album Rustbelt Nu Metal\, which is slated for a June 2025 release\, the band shared\, “RBNM was recorded live on the spring equinox 3/23 in one day in front of a studio audience of 50. There are no samples\, keyboards\, synthesisers\, or click tracks/metronomes used in the recording. Give this many listens and many views and we will reconvene with our collective thoughts on the matter. Very truly yours\, King 810.” \n\n\n\nCreatively on fire and inspired by this way of recording\, the band intends to record a second album in this series in June on the summer solstice and a third\, again in the same fashion\, on the autumn equinox. \n\n\n\nStream the track here. \n\n\n\nPre-order the album here. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWatch the trailer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\n£22.75   \n\n\n\nHandling fees will be added to each order up to £3.25 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nThursday 11 September 2025 at 7.00pm \n\n\n\nAge guidance: \n\n\n\n\nNo under 8s.\n\n\n\nUnder 14s to be accompanied at all times by an adult over 18.\n\n\n\nUnder 25s require ID to purchase alcohol.\n\n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nO2 Academy2 \n\n\n\nSecurity – bag policy: \n\n\n\nLarge bags including rucksacks are not allowed. DESCRIPTION:Hal Cruttenden: Can Dish It Out But Can’t Take It\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Hal Cruttenden: Can Dish It Out But Can’t Take It\n\n\n\nHal is back with a brand-new tour for 2025 with a show that promises to stick it to ‘The Man’\, as long as ‘The Man’ doesn’t stick it back to him.’ \n\n\n\nWith his trademark hard-hitting ‘take no prisoners’ comedy (this is what Hal told me to write!!!) he will be hilariously pontificating on subjects like middle-aged dating\, social media\, the insanity of modern politics\, and the fact that his daughters love him but don’t respect him. He believes that after you’ve seen the show\, you’ll feel exactly the same way. \n\n\n\nHis last tour was extended four times and he’s one of a select number of comics to have done Live At The Apollo three times and the Royal Variety twice\, TV also includes Have I Got News For You\, The Apprentice You’re Fired\, Bake Off Extra Slice and Would I Lie To You. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\n£22.50 \n\n\n\nAll prices include any booking fees \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nTuesday 09 September 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nThe Theatre \n\n\n\nAge guidance:  \n\n\n\n14+ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Theatre Chipping Norton\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Theatre Chipping Norton\, sometimes called The Theatre\, Chipping Norton or Chipping Norton Theatre\, is a theatre\, an arthouse cinema\, a gallery and a concert hall in Chipping Norton. \n\n\n\nThe theatre has has 217 seats\, including stalls and a balcony. It is a resource for the community\, and it is also a professional venue\, welcoming over 55\,000 customer visits every year. \n\n\n\nIt is something unique\, but it is also different things to different people. It is the cause and subject of many arguments and debates; and a fair amount of acclaim and affection. It is complicated and a little eccentric. \n\n\n\nIt is not a little theatre. It likes to make a big noise. \n\n\n\nDiscover more about The Theatre Chipping Norton\, including travel\, access and venue information.

SUMMARY:Unravelling Wilburys
DESCRIPTION:Unravelling Wilburys\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Unravelling Wilburys\n\n\n\nLegend has it the original Wilbury brothers from Nashville\, Tennessee\, were plying their trade as a good ol’ Country band one night in Tootsie’s Bar\, when who should walk in but George Harrison from The Beatles and his old pal Jeff Lynne outta the ELO. \n\n\n\nAfter a few beers\, George and Jeff decided they loved the Wilbury boys and called up some of their friends\, inviting them downtown to hear for themselves. Those friends turned out to be Roy Orbison\, Tom Petty out of the Heartbreakers\, and Bobby Dylan himself. \n\n\n\nThe story goes that\, after the show\, the famous five wanted to hang out with the shy and retiring Unravelling Wilburys. They all got pretty drunk\, and it seemed like the Wilbury brothers had got their big break when Tom Petty allegedly said they should all work together. \n\n\n\nSix months went by and the Wilburys heard nothing. Then one day they were passing a record store and heard one of their own songs playing on the hi-fi. “Who’s this playing our song?” they said to the guy behind the counter. “Why\, it’s a new supergroup\,” the guy replied. “They call themselves The Traveling Wilburys.” \n\n\n\nYes folks\, it seems the Traveling Wilburys became a tribute band to our home-spun originals. \n\n\n\nWell\, a few years and more passed and finally the Unravelling Wilburys decided to ‘reclaim’ those songs\, putting together a set of all the hits and the best stuff Dylan\, Petty\, Orbison\, Lynne\, and Harrison could muster between ’em. Then they headed for the UK. The folks there ain’t got much of a clue about Country music and took to ’em straight away. \n\n\n\nPretty soon they were travelling all over the country\, from the Orkney Islands to the Isle of Wight; from Penzance to Perth; from Southwold to South Wales; packing out theatres along the way in towns whose names they’d never heard of and couldn’t pronounce. \n\n\n\nThe show features the best of the Wilbury albums (‘Handle with Care’\, ‘The End of the Line’\, ‘The Devil’s Been Busy’\, ‘Tweeter & The Monkey Man’ etc.) and some of their supposedly thievin’ counterparts’ numbers like ‘Only the Lonely’\, ‘Won’t Back Down’\, ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’\, ‘Like a Rollin’ Stone’ and ‘Mr. Blue Sky.’ The act even contains the kind of comedy only a band spending too many nights in Travelodge hotels could dream up. \n\n\n\nThe Unravelling Wilburys are now so popular they even got to be a question on the TV show ‘The Chase’. Now that’s fame…even if it ain’t fortune. \n\n\n\nSo- Ladies and Gentlemen\, turn off your hearing aid\, put your Zimmer frame to one side\, and prepare for a musical journey with Walter\, Blind Melon\, Sticky Willy\, Thumper and the Reverend Honky Tonk Wilbury. It’s a journey you ain’t gonna forget in a hurry. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\n£22.75 \n\n\n\nPrices include a £1.00 Restoration Levy\, a £1.50 Booking Fee and a 25p Community Fund Levy. \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nFriday 05 September 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n2 hours 20 minutes \n\n\n\nAge guidance: \n\n\n\nOver 12s \n\n\n\nContent guidance:  \n\n\n\nSome innuendo\, drug references & very mild swearing \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Kenton Theatre\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nSituated in the centre of Henley-on-Thames\, the Kenton Theatre is the fourth-oldest working theatre in the UK and a registered charity. SUMMARY:Marquee Square Heroes – Marillion Tribute
DESCRIPTION:Marquee Square Heroes – Marillion Tribute\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Marquee Square Heroes – Marillion Tribute\n\n\n\n‘Do you remember chalk hearts melting on a wall’ \n\n\n\nMarquee Square Heroes invites you to relive the shows that made Marillion one of the biggest bands in the world. \n\n\n\nBy the end of 1984 Marillion had completed their second album release and toured the UK\, Europe\, and North America to great acclaim with the ‘Fugazi’ album. \n\n\n\nDemand to see the band was huge and a multitude of pirated bootleg live albums were beginning to circulate amongst their fans. EMI decided to release a live ‘mini album’\, available at a reduced price. And thus\, was born ‘Real to Reel’\, a live album that really captures the essence and spirit of the band at that time. \n\n\n\nOn reflection\, this smart\, knee-jerk decision\, enabled the band to concentrate on writing the album that became the biggest-selling album of their career. \n\n\n\n‘Misplaced Childhood’ achieved Number 1 status in the album charts\, providing massive exposure with top 3 chart singles positions for ‘Kayleigh’ and ‘Lavender’\, and a healthy chart position for ‘Heart of Lothian’ too. \n\n\n\nKayleigh was only kept from the top of the charts by a worthy charity single but sold well over 200\,000 copies. You couldn’t turn the Radio on in 1985 and not hear that classic song of lost love and lost opportunities. And I seriously suspect everyone knows at least one Kayleigh! \n\n\n\nThis year Marquee Square Heroes will recreate the shows from this key period for Marillion\, performing not only a set that reflects that tour but also performing the entire classic Misplaced Childhood album\, as intended by the band in strict running order. As well as other classics\, not necessarily performed on that tour. \n\n\n\nA return to Banbury on the 40th anniversary of the album release will be a very special event – Marquee Square Heroes are delighted to celebrate the release of the album in The Mill Arts Centre. Featuring named musicians from the genre who have appeared across the world with members of Marillion. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWatch the trailer\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTicket prices: \n\n\n\n£19.50 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nSunday 31 August 2025 at 7.30pm \n\n\n\nDoors open at 7.00pm \n\n\n\nAge guidance:  \n\n\n\n14+ \n\n\n\nContent guidance: \n\n\n\nModerate Language \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout The Mill Arts Centre\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nThe Mill Arts Centre is the cultural hub for Banbury and the surrounding area. \n\n\n\nAs the only dedicated arts provision in the area\, it aims to inspire creativity and enrich the lives of the communities by providing a high-quality\, varied artistic\, educational and participatory programme. \n\n\n\nIt plays a significant role in the town’s cultural\, social and economic development by offering the community the chance to engage with and be entertained by several art forms. \n\n\n\nThe Mill Arts Centre offers an exciting live events programme\, including theatre\, dance\, music\, comedy\, film\, workshops and classes. SUMMARY:Joy of Scything Summer Workshop at Cogges
DESCRIPTION:Joy of Scything Summer Workshop at Cogges\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Joy of Scything Summer Workshop at Cogges\n\n\n\nThis one day course is designed to introduce you to using and looking after an Austrian scythe. The course is suitable for a range of experience levels\, from complete beginners to those who have been using a scythe but feel that it could be working better for them. \n\n\n\nThe structure of the day will be as follows: \n\n\n\n\nIntroduction and familiarisation\n\n\n\nSetting up an Austrian scythe\n\n\n\nMovement and technique\n\n\n\nMowing practice\n\n\n\nSharpening in the field\n\n\n\nMaintenance and peening of the blade\n\n\n\nThere will be a break for lunch at 12.30pm\n\n\n\n\nThe scythe is a highly efficient tool and is regarded as the appropriate technology for a wide variety of situations\, much wider than many would think\, from meadows and reedbeds to allotments and lawns\, in professional and amateur contexts. In addition to its efficiency\, versatility\, outstanding green credentials\, and health benefits for both body and mind\, the scythe is an extremely cost-effective tool. Once set up with a basic kit no further outlay is required\, and maintenance is simple and enjoyable. \n\n\n\nAbout the tutor \n\n\n\nNicole Clough is a Scythe Teacher and regional contact for the Scythe Association of Britain & Ireland. Find out more. \n\n\n\n“I train because I’m passionate about everyone getting a good initial experience with scything. The scythe has had bad press over recent years\, the main implications being that they are hard work\, cause backache\, and are less efficient than their machine equivalents. Yet the truth is quite the opposite. They are easy and a pleasure to use once the basic principles are understood; in fact\, many people fall in love with scything once they have tried it.” \n\n\n\nCourse details \n\n\n\nPlease arrive in time for a 10.00am start. The course is expected to finish by 4.30pm. \n\n\n\nThere will be a break for lunch. Due to the nature of the training\, the course will be held outside in the paddocks and meadow at Cogges\, therefore please wear or bring suitable clothing\, weather protection and stout footwear. Cogges Kitchen cafe will be open from 9.00am\, last orders at 4.00pm.  \n\n\n\nCosts \n\n\n\n6 places are available on this course. \n\n\n\nThe cost of the training is £110 per person\, including lunch.  Refunds are available only if we re-sell your place. \n\n\n\nMost attendees prefer to purchase an Austrian scythe in advance to set up and learn during the course. However\, Nicole has a limited number of training scythes that can be borrowed\, but this must be by prior arrangement\, and an additional hire cost of £20 will apply (contact Nicole in advance at https://joyofscything.uk/contact/). \n\n\n\nAttendees need only the basic Austrian scythe setup\, to include the following: \n\n\n\n\nSnath plus handles\n\n\n\nBlade (for grass and non-woody vegetation)\n\n\n\nScythe ring\n\n\n\nAllen key\n\n\n\n10mm spanner\n\n\n\nSharpening stone (canoe)\n\n\n\nStone sheath or suitable container to hold sharpening stone and water\n\n\n\nWork gloves to use whilst sharpening\n\n\n\n\nRecommended suppliers: Simon Fairlie – Supplier of Austrian Scythes \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see important booking information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking information\n\n\n\nTickets prices: \n\n\n\n£110.00 \n\n\n\nDates & times: \n\n\n\nSaturday 14 June 2025 at 10.00am \n\n\n\nRunning time: \n\n\n\n6 hours 30 minutes\, including a lunch break \n\n\n\nLocation: \n\n\n\nOutside in the paddocks and meadow

SUMMARY:BunkFest 2025
DESCRIPTION:Wallingford BunkFest\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout BunkFest 2025\n\n\n\nOn the banks of the Thames in South Oxfordshire\, Wallingford BunkFest is a free-access community festival providing a unique\, family-friendly celebration with something for everyone. \n\n\n\nIn 2025\, BunkFest celebrates its 23rd year of life – starting from a small marquee in a pub car park to filling the KineCroft and providing entertainment throughout Wallingford\, on the River Thames and the Bunk Railway line. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBunkFest 2025 lineup\n\n\n\nBunkFest 2025 lineup is yet to be announced. But in the meantime here’s some information from 2024 to give you a flavour of what to expect. \n\n\n\nFriday Headline Act: BaskeryBaskery is Greta\, Stella and Sunniva Bondesson\, a trio of sisters from Stockholm\, Sweden. The band’s motto\, to go where the music takes them\, has created organic growth\, and their energetic and diverse live shows have made them an attractive and sought-after live band. \n\n\n\nThey’ve been handpicked as support act for Gary Clark Jr\, Robbie Williams\, Seth Lakeman\, Lukas Nelson and Brandi Carlile and have appeared at festivals in the UK — Glastonbury\, Shrewsbury Folk\, Solfest\, Shambala and worldwide. \n\n\n\nIn 2022\, they teamed up with producer Sean Lakeman (The Levellers\, Billy Bragg\, Imelda May) in a timeless Devon hideaway studio\, far from any distractions\, to record their fifth album. The collaboration was mutually inspiring\, resulting in a diverse sound landscape. \n\n\n\nFriday other acts:Split The Dealer / C U Tuesday / The Dunwells / The Cornermen \n\n\n\nSaturday Headline Act: GenoGeno originates from Evansville in Indiana\, USA and first came to England in the 1960s as part of the US Air Force. His love of Blues and Soul music soon found him jamming with local bands in and around Ipswich and eventually led him to London where he caused a sensation singing with top R&B acts Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames and Zoot Money’s Big Roll Band at the legendary Flamingo Club in Soho. The rest\, as they say\, is history. \n\n\n\nGeno teamed up with some of London’s hottest musicians and Geno Washington and the Ram Jam Band very quickly became established as the most exciting live band in Britain\, regularly topping the bill over World famous artists\, as nobody in their right mind wanted to go on stage after a Geno show! \n\n\n\nSaturday other acts:The Mysteries / Steve Morano / Chrome Horse diplomats / Maff and The Magictones / Offbeat / Far From The City \n\n\n\nSunday headliner: DS:UKDire Straits is one of the most beloved bands in UK Rock History and Mark Knopfler is one of the most respected songwriters and guitarists of our time – penning an incredible legacy of classic music that still gets more radio airtime than most. \n\n\n\nDS:UK began touring in 2016 in their loving tribute to this amazing band\, focusing on performing Mark’s music in the way that the fans love it and remember it. That is to say – with an unsurpassed accuracy and affection for the material. \n\n\n\n“DS:UK…in Tribute to Dire Straits” has earned its reputation as the quintessential Dire Straits Experience by presenting a rollercoaster ride of meticulously performed hits and fan favourites that span the 20-odd years of the band’s rein\, peppered with interesting history. \n\n\n\nDS:UK’s festival appearances bring together your favourites including Tunnel of Love\, Heavy Fuel\, Lady Writer\, Twisting by the Pool – and all of the other hits you were expecting to read in this list! You know what they are… \n\n\n\n…. Johnny’s coming with the oldies goldies – be prepared to get a shiver in the dark! \n\n\n\nSunday other acts:Rusty Shackle / Jacki Oates and Jon Wilks / Monkeyfists / RSVP Bhangra / NewBees: Wallingford’s up-and-coming new artists \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets (2025 TBC)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease see camping information below. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVenue\n\n\n\nIn addition to the main stage\, BunkFest has a fabulous range of fringe venues you can visit throughout the festival\, which range from musical boats and singing trains to fantastic local pubs and a quirky bookshop. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCamping\n\n\n\nBunkFest camping is located at the Wallingford Sports Park\, Hithercroft Road\, Wallingford\, OX10 9RB.
